FrenchConnection44 Posted February 27 Report Posted February 27 Wow. That’s strange. He was 95 so he was not unexpected. But the wife and dog? Fishy I remember going to see The French Connection as a kid. I was 10 My mom took me and got some looks about taking me to an R rated film. But man, I loved it and it was one of the movies that launched my love of film—which remains to this day. He had some great roles. Always liked his on screen persona. RIP

Dreams Burn Down Posted February 27 Report Posted February 27 What a legend and one of my favorite actors. Hoosiers, Unforgiven, and Enemy of the State were my favorite roles of his. RIP 2

Broken Ankles Posted February 27 Report Posted February 27 We disconnected the gas from my grandfathers house when he turned 86. It was left on many times before that decision was made. Hoping it was accidental and not murder/suicide, if in fact Carbon Monoxide. Gene was an iconic actor. In addition to those listed above - The Poseidon Adventure, The Firm, Mississippi Burning and Superman were some of my favorite roles/movies. 1
