GASabresIUFAN Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago The D in the 3rd period was the most activated I've seen by this team all year. They literally skated a tired Ducks team into the ice in the 3rd. They probably should have had 6 goals. Quote
thewookie1 Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Great 3rd period; the Alamo mode near the end was scary but Dahlin nearly scoring off the deflection backhand that trickled wide without being an icing Quote
Flashsabre Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago So 8 years $80 million for Joker?😝 Nice win, nice run they are on right now. Greenway makes a big difference for them. That was the best Cozens has skated and engaged in a while. Quote

This warms the cockles of my heart. Maybe below the cockles. Maybe in the sub cockle area. Maybe in the liver, maybe in the kidneys. Maybe even in the colon. 1 Quote

They are really old and have really not much at all coming up in their farm system. 1 Quote
thewookie1 Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago In the 3rd period, we all saw the Cozens from 2 years ago that skated hard, hit some people and effectively was around the puck constantly. 1 Quote

More importantly, he didn't rush a shot for himself and instead passed it to JJP, and he didn't make any glaring mistakes away from the puck. His offense hasn't been good the last month or so, but he IS playing somewhat better without the puck for the last 5-6 games. Quote

Porous Five Hole Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Some folks don’t like the same handedness of Dahlin, Power, and Byram, and I get that. It might not be a perfect way to structure a blue line. But Byram & Dahls were excellent together tonight. I want to see them continue to play as a pair. 1 1 Quote

Flashsabre Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Not only did Cozens look like his old self but I thought Quinn looked like the best version of himself. 1 Quote
Crusader1969 Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Uggghhhh Rossi misses a wide open cage with about 20 seconds left. wild lose to the redwings. Wings remain 13 ahead of the Sabres with both teams Winning tonight Edited 17 hours ago by Crusader1969 Quote
JohnC Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago No question that Cozens played well. We needed him to and he did. In his last few games he has played better. I didn't watch the whole game so others can respond to my observation that Samuelsson is playing better. Not flashy but just solid. Greenway is not a stat player. But it seems that his big presence on the ice has uplifted the play of others. He's not the fastest player but he is one of the best positional players on this team. He's a big fellow who plays big. He's like a tree trunk that can't be moved. The Sabres have won 6 out of 7 games. The team is starting to have a home game advantage. Let's keep it going. Quote
