Buffalo certainly would be a good market if the product is worthy, entertaining and reasonably priced. The Bandits demonstrate that. The arena is usually filled with a raucous crowd supporting their competitive team. I'm hoping that in the not-too-distant future the arena will be filled with avid hockey fans rooting on a serious team. I'm hoping that Terry P recognizes that and demonstrates more urgency with his hockey franchise. My understanding is that last night's game was at capacity. That's a positive sign. Quote

After 2 weeks off folks were a little hungry for hockey. Quote

Before the other league went other, didn't the Buffalo Beauts have one of the best attendance in the entire league for the other women's league? Quote

Dreams Burn Down Posted 22 hours ago Report Posted 22 hours ago That was an entertaining hockey game. There was some crisp passing, a few hits, and excellent goaltending from both netminders. Nice broadcast, as well. Quote

I can't find any attendance numbers for the Beauts, but considering their home rink was Harborcenter it couldn't have been more than 1,500. But todays game drew 8,512. 1 Quote
Doohicksie Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I missed the game, but if the Beauts come back I will buy one of those jerseys. Love 'em. Quote

But in this article the attendance for these exhibitions in a variety of cities has been quite impressive. Quote

I think Quebec City had over 18,000 fans. 1 Quote

It’s because it’s a one-time special event. The PWHL average attendance in their home cities is around 5,800. Quote
North Buffalo Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago 8700 showed, fun game to watch... came up to visit my older brother and his family... we punted the Sabres game and decided to watch the women's game. Boston beat NY in a shootout 3-2... over 30 shots each by both teams and it got chippy toward the end. Quote
