I don’t think I’ve heard a coach say this to the media. Edited Friday at 12:20 AM by inkman 2 1 Quote
7+6=13 Posted Friday at 12:52 AM Report Posted Friday at 12:52 AM Whoa, that's not good, when you're coach is comfortable with going into that kind of detail about you. Quote
ShadowOnTheDoor Posted Friday at 01:27 AM Report Posted Friday at 01:27 AM Prospal would be a fun head coach. 3 Quote

Never want your coach questioning whether you even want to play. I like that Prospal is playing the last chance card as one final kick in the rear. 16 minutes ago, LGR4GM said: Windows closed. Yup. At least in Buffalo’s system. Alas, he’ll never even be a Nylander change of scenery trade at this point. Gone the way of Karabacek and that entire trio of 2nds. 1 1 Quote

Gone the way of Karabacek and that entire trio of 2nds. He's undersized with work ethic issues, and he's in buffalo's system behind at least 6 other prospect wingers. So he's 10th ish on the depth chart, I'm in agreement with you. He's just not gonna be anything in this system. Quote

GoPuckYourself Posted Friday at 05:48 AM Report Posted Friday at 05:48 AM I know size doesn't equate to toughness but I'd like to see us stick with size and hope they already have toughness. Just way too many small, skilled forwards for my liking all seem to be in the same mold imo. 2 1 3 Quote

Maybe you’ll get your wish. We need some players with size and power. And have a bit of a nasty streak. Hopefully he does. 2 1 Quote

Martone is who I've wanted from the start, either him or Michael Misa, not nearly the mean streak but he can fly or glide rather. 1 Quote

The gap between Misa and Martone, IMPO, has widened as the year has progressed. I would take Misa over Martone 10 out of 10 times at this point. I don't expect him to be available at 4th overall though. Martone probably will be. 1 Quote

Well will likely win a few meaningless games late in the season that will take us out of position for a game changing player. 2 Quote
Ctaeth Posted Friday at 05:57 PM Report Posted Friday at 05:57 PM I find the honesty refreshing. I hope that they are this candid with the players behind closed doors too Quote

The next game changing player is Gavin McKenna. However even at 5 the Sabres could get a really good player, someone who's got some attitude hopefully. Quote

I don’t think I’ve heard a coach say this to the media. Nice to see the player take some accountability for his lack of play 🙄 .... my goodness. His quotes at the end of this article don't help his cause. 87 career AHL games, 14 goals, 11 assists, 44 points. Yeah, keep doing what you've been doing, surely it'll work. 20 hours ago, DarthEbriate said: Yup. At least in Buffalo’s system. The way he sounds in this article and the the fact he's been a healthy scratch all season and noone has traded for him, or he request a trade to get playing time, tells me he's just counting down the days til he's able to sign in the KHL. Good riddance. Quote

I like Hagens a lot too, but Misa is my co-favorite in this draft and the further along it goes, the more im leaning with Misa. 2 hours ago, LGR4GM said: The next game changing player is Gavin McKenna. Not only McKenna seems like a franchise altering player, but Viggo Björck from Sweden is also a massive talent. 1 Quote

Yeah! Misa is top class. I’d love him. Could be a great player. Would be awesome. If not him then Martone. Hope we can land one or the other. We should offer Cozens & Power for one of the top 3 picks and draft both Misa and Martone. 😉 Even throw in Samuelsson! No seriously. 🤷🏼♂️ Both are just so impressive. Both are first line players in the waiting imo Our luck, we will get hot and not get either. We need to make do everything at this point to ensure we are in the top 4. But this is a good draft. I would trade those 3 to get more picks. Edited Saturday at 01:11 PM by FrenchConnection44 Quote

Big Guava Posted Saturday at 08:21 PM Report Posted Saturday at 08:21 PM These are the type of players who think they are doing "enough" to be in the lineup but aren't being honest with themselves. Like the people who work 2 hours a day and then complain when they get let go because they "worked hard". He should be able to see what someone who is playing regularly does and what he is doing and see that those 2 things are vastly different but he doesn't. Quote
