The President is not well. This is delusional and bizarre.

I agree. It's so delusional it's hard for me to take seriously. There's no possible way we take Canada without a ground war, and I don't see that happening. Color me naive, YMMV.

You should take seriously. Trump isn't sane. An invasion of Canada would spark civil war in the United States.

All you who read this should be condemning trump openly and loudly.

You know I agree the idea is batshit crazy, but how is it a betrayal of the constitution?

Waging war without congressional approval.

"Hang the code. They're more like guidelines anyway."

That said.. I am sure there's some existential threat to the US that would justify the President to take military action without the input from Congress.

Then again.. Congress might approve, the damn boot lickers they are.

They are trying to normalize the idea that Canada is a threat so they can take them over by force. I want you all to stop for a second and read the statement from Carney because it is how all of Europe feels as well. Americans are no longer trusted.

"Well, I think Canada is a neighbor," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a Tuesday briefing. "They are a partner. They have always been an ally. Perhaps they are becoming a competitor now."

"These are dark days — dark days brought on by a country we can no longer trust," PM Carney said. "We are getting over the shock — but let us never forget the lessons. We have to look after ourselves and we have to look out for each other."

I think we're going to see an executive order that classifies fentanyl as so dangerous the US can use military force to stop it. This gives pretext for a military intervention in Mexico and Canada.

Greenland ain't putting up with Trump's naked imperialism.

Also, Trump has now suggested that NATO could help him "annex" Greenland. How long does Trump wait until he decides the military solution is the best solution.

I'm really beginning to wonder if the military would act if ordered.  I'd rather not get to that point to find out, that's for sure.

The Canadians have spoken.

Businesses that are in tourist areas are going to suffer from Trumps global war. No country will ever want to visit here, except NK and Russia probably.

WNY saw a 14% decline in Canadian crossings in February and officials here are worried about what the data will show for March. It is estimated that a 10% loss in Canadian tourism could coats $2.1b in revenues and upward of 14,000 jobs. I think it’s gonna be much more than a 10% as the numbers roll in month to month.

If it drags on long enough, I do believe the Sabres will be in jeopardy of leaving.

I don’t know about being in jeopardy of leaving, but you’re point is a good one. Canadians represent 7-10 percent of the season ticket base for the Sabres and 10% for the Bills. Canadians also do a decent amount of single game ticket purchases for both teams as well; something we’ve seen for years.
