Dahlin was with Gustav Forsling this morning, who was sick yesterday. Andersson was the 7th d-men today with Forsling back. Also sounds like UPL might not get any action. Finland might roll with Saros & Lankinen. Quote

After the garbage hockey we’ve been subjected to this season, I figure I owe I it to myself to watch so I can recharge my love of hockey. It’s what everyone was crying for because of the All-Star game format (which I never hated, cuz it was just supposed to be fun), and now no one wants to watch? It’s NHL rules, not international. These guys all want to win. There will be hits. I think it’s going to be awesome. 5 1 Quote
Pimlach Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago (edited) I think Tage could have, and should have, been selected for the US Team. He is s PPG player and tied for 9th in the league in goals, despite playing on a really bad team. Anyone know why he was overlooked? Edited 11 hours ago by Pimlach Quote

He was injured part of the time and playing below standard to the point he got moved to wing. He’s improved since the roster was selected. He’s better off taking the time healing any lingering injuries. 1 Quote

He should also be a wing on USA if circumstances were right and he made the team. As it stands, the USA team has 4 nice lines with some good checkers to balance and compliment the scorers. Quote

He’s paid to be a first line center. Playing wing is a setback. 1 Quote

This tournament might represent the first hockey game I’ve watched this year for a full 60 im sort of excited to care about hockey again tbh It’s also the first best on best since 2016, so that’s something the first chance guys like McDavid and Eichel have had to compete for their countries at the top level Not to mention Dahlin 1 Quote

He can’t really pass, maybe they didn’t want a line where he’s the focal point considering his streakiness. Or it’s just outright sabres stench Edited 10 hours ago by Thorner 1 Quote

I think he is good enough and should be on the roster, but it was his production near the time of the team being selected. Also, best thing for a player like him is to get the time off. He's had like 5 or 6 injuries in the past 2 seasons. Quote
Thorner Posted 8 hours ago Author Report Posted 8 hours ago (edited) Dahlin on a 75 point 82 game pace as a D man this year while far and away our mvp in doing so. A phenom, who I fear we are wasting Edited 8 hours ago by Thorner 1 1 Quote

He needs to the rest and he's had some injuries, so the time-off will help. 1 Quote

I would bet that his salary is pretty well in line, if not low, with 1st line wingers who can put up 40-50 goals. At least he is not making EP40 money ... Quote
