The NHL has absolutely nailed it with this event. Everything from the format, to the locations, to the jerseys.

Exactly right. A Grand Slam of historic league proportions.

It has genuinely been so enjoyable to watch high-level hockey like this. The Sabres especially the last two years and even more so this year have really sucked the joy out of the game for me. This has been refreshing. A nice break.

My wife is watching with me (or shall I say, she's in the room scrolling) and she just said "I haven't seen you enjoy watching hockey this much in a long time."  I replied "Well, guess who I'm usually watching?" She said "Oh, right " Lol.

Hypothetical question: if Owen Power were playing in this game, how many times would he have shat himself by now?

If NHL hockey moves even a little bit to this style, Power is out of a job.

The first nine seconds would’ve given Cozens PTSD.

I kind of can’t believe Tage thinks he should be on this roster. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him display a 10th of the intensity these guys are playing with once in his career. Especially with two way hockey not just on the offensive side.

Anyone here present at the Bruins playoff series in the 80's? Same thing,  but during the game, not opening face-off.

All 3 forwards fought on 3 straight face-offs. Don Cherry said ' there's a war going on in Buffalo'.

Great series.

Only two players on the US  roster have more goals than Tage.

A healthy Tage would help this team, probably as a winger.  He needs to experience this, it would help him grow playing in games of this magnitude.
