Yeah exactly, it’s 2025 and the average person has the attention span of a goldfish. You think hard checks and speed is how you’re going to get more people into the game of hockey through a TV broadcast? 

Or multiple fights in a highly tense atmosphere that’s currently larger than the sport itself? You’re looking at this through the perspective of a hockey fan and not somebody who’s trying to market the game to a non-hockey fan.

It has genuinely been so enjoyable to watch high-level hockey like this. The Sabres especially the last two years and even more so this year have really sucked the joy out of the game for me. This has been refreshing. A nice break.
