You think hard checks and speed is how you’re going to get more people into the game of hockey through a TV broadcast? Or multiple fights in a highly tense atmosphere that’s currently larger than the sport itself? You’re looking at this through the perspective of a hockey fan and not somebody who’s trying to market the game to a non-hockey fan. i’m not even saying I disagree with you. It has genuinely been so enjoyable to watch high-level hockey like this. The Sabres especially the last two years and even more so this year have really sucked the joy out of the game for me.
