K012010 Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 All right… I’m expecting the same level of intensity for the Sabres and Rangers on Saturday. Can’t think of one reason why that wouldn’t be the case. 1
SwampD Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 It’s hard for me to say that I didn’t enjoy seeing a sad Matthew’s. 1

SabresBillsFan Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 (edited) I’m just glad it wasn’t a useless, waste of time all star game! This was great to watch. Edited February 21 by SabresBillsFan 1 1

Eichel has one more cup than McDavid. 1 minute ago, SabresBillsFan said: I’m just glad it wasn’t a useless, waste of time all star game! This was great to watch. Tremendous hockey.

Pimlach Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 Well McDavid etches his name in the record books. The USA team probably played better hockey overall, but the Canadian team has more superstars, and one of them cashed in. The USA had many more chances to finish this one and had the better of the play. But McDavid is best player in the league and he buries his chance. Binington is an “ok goalie” that has won big twice now, he did it again - both times in TD Garden. Great hockey. MVP McKinnon? Binington saved Canada and is the unlikely hero again. 2
SwampD Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 As great of a hockey game as it was, right now, I feel about the same as if it was the West that won the 3 on 3 all-star game.

Binnington was obviously great this game, they may have lost without his performance, but he let in a soft goal in each of the previous games. McKinnon has been excellent and is a deserving MVP, IMO 1 1
Second Line Center Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 Why Matthews is never winning a Cup 1 1

Mathews? He has yet to finish a big game/series. He is a Leaf, he was disappointing overall. His mustache is still terrible too. Slavin, Warrenski, McAvoy, the Tkachuk Bros, and Larkin - they all delivered for the US. 1

Imagine leaving the world’s best player alone to score the OT winner? Oh wait, it happened in 2010 too! 😂 Never been happier to see Canada win! Absolutely perfect. 11 minutes ago, SwampD said: As great of a hockey game as it was, right now, I feel about the same as if it was the West that won the 3 on 3 all-star game. Sure. 1
irregularly irregular Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 (edited) Good job by McDavid making himself available. Good job by Matthews making it easy for hockey's best player from 15' and lots of time to work with. Edited February 21 by irregularly irregular grammar, like usual

Would have love to see Quinn Hughes, the guys skating is off the charts. 1 1

He’s super good as well. Seen him a ton here in Vegas. I absolutely love these tournaments. I thought Bennington was the player of the game, he made huge saves in overtime. 1
GoPuckYourself Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 Now we get to see Power looking at 2 players standing in front of our goalie untouched. Cant wait!!! 1

Would have loved to see Tage Thompson, I mean Matt Tkachuk. The only thing I know for sure is that PK Subban is bad at his job. Steve Levy is also quite terrible. Only Messier is worth listening too if you know hockey Fix this ESPN.

I would have loved to see Tage, if he would have gotten to play in this tournament it would’ve made him better, I hope. Sucks that Matthew Tkachuk went down but he plays that style that wears your body down. 1
PerreaultForever Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 That was a great hockey game. Binnington showed he's a money goalie after all. Stuck it to Boston in the Stanley Cup finals and stuck it to their fans again tonight. Marchand piggybacking Konecny really did make me laugh. That might be the biggest international win for Canada since '72. I hope we see this again.
