DarthEbriate Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 The most important thing is: does he look the part? Did he learn from his one-game callup earlier andplay to the speed of the game? Because he’s having an excellent AHL campaign and growing nicely. Quote

Probably just thrilled to be up in NHL I'd think. My question is, does he get Power Play time. He seems kind of good playing along the wall and making plays. inkman Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 Someone needs to tell EEE-sock that the beard needs to stay. He looked alien without it. Like almost a different species. A nicely quaffed beard has him looking a little smoldering. Quote

A beard would also be good for TNT, Cozens, Quinn, JJP, Power, etc. At least try to create the illusion that you have more age and grit than a 6 year old birthday party. Quote
Mr. Allen Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 I didn’t watch last night. How did Rosen play? Quote
Jorcus Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 21 minutes ago, Mr. Allen said: I didn’t watch last night. How did Rosen play? I thought he played ok. The line looked out out of sync at times but they tried to be responsible on the D side of the ice. He made a few good passes in the O zone. At least once he poked a puck off a stick out of the zone defending. Had one or 2 good looks at a goal but that was about it. He got run over at lest once but no glaring errors. Quote
Doohicksie Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 Rosen had 1 shot on goal. The line had 5. They had 10 shots as a line the previous game, but only 4 shots the game before that. So it was in line with a "quiet" night for that line. The line as a whole was -1 in the +/-. Considering that's the Sabres top line, you might say he dragged them down, but as an individual I think he acquitted himself well. Quote

Carmel Corn Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 (edited) Not a lot of playing time to assess. Malenstyn’s injury shook up what was already a shorter forward group (11-7 lineup that went down to just 10). Seemed like Rosen was kind of the odd man out as the game wore on. Hopefully there will be a larger sample size against the Preds. Edited February 5 by Carmel Corn Quote

Big Guava Posted February 10 Report Posted February 10 I hope they got a better interest rate on that loan this time Quote
mjd1001 Posted February 10 Report Posted February 10 I know a lot of people were/are excited for the numbers Rosen is putting up in Rochester, but I don't see him as a guy that will have a role on the Sabres team putting up points. I think his role is a 3rd or 4th liner (hopefully 3rd) who can put up 15, MAYBE 20 goals for you, but will play a VERY responsible defensive game. His style may be different, but I think of his utility as a Johan Hecht type player eventually. Quote

His hockey IQ is probably better than anyone on the Sabres roster. A team chock full of himbos making the wrong decision constantly. Quote
