The whole league is trashing the Sabres. Yup, I have never seen anything like it. They are getting absolutely murdered by everybody in the NHL media. Quote

Sure the roster needs surgery too, but the coaches are contributing to the problem and this incident provides us all the evidence we need for that. One of Adams biggest failings has been his head coaching hires 4 hours ago, Weave said: Hot take Mule is moved before next season, and his lack of response to the TT hit is a good part why. In the past I’ve said I am concerned that his disappointing play has been related to giving up on the team. I think his lack of response settles the idea in my head. He doesn’t want to be here, and Frackman don’t tolerate that. Given Zucker’s response, I don’t think he’s coming back either, and becomes the #1 odds to be the Sabre moved out at the deadline. He’s a mercenary. I had hopes otherwise, but I don’t see him in the same light now. Doesn’t want to BE HERE?! we gave this beer leaguer 30 million dollars because he teased the fulfillment of a leadership concept in our minds he should be thanking the sabres on bended knee Quote

The reason he's not playing tonight is coming out of the team meeting, not any bumps or bruises suffered against Jersey. And thank you for the Zucker observation. I'm not saying he's nothing but a mercenary, but there's a real tendency toward 'emperor has no clothes' thinking about certain players around here. No Sabre was closer to the Tage hit than Zucker. Not to mention his past comments on situations like this make it all rather damning 32 minutes ago, CallawaySabres said: Yup, I have never seen anything like it. sabremike Posted February 4 Report Posted February 4 Why has Sammy not been stripped of the A on his chest? Quote

I continue to find the coordination in these matters to be interesting. Hopefully it's flowing from Bettman down and the league has some ideas for solving The Buffalo Problem. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 5 Author Report Posted February 5 So Gilbert starts the game with a fight! Why? Quote

If anything, the staging of it makes what happened last game even worse, if that's possible. It also fails to answer an important question. When the next player lays a cheap hit on one of ours, catching our team completely off-guard, how will we respond? 1 Quote

French Collection Posted February 5 Report Posted February 5 The staged fight was a move to try to appease the fans calling them a wimpy team. Too late. 1 Quote

To them, it’s all about having a tight room of guys who love each other (so to speak)….but when the chips are down, they run and hide vs. confront. As far as inside the locker room, I’d rather have some tension within the team to make them uncomfortable with each other for a change. Getting along ain’t working, so get some alpha males who will get into fellow teammate faces and challenge them to be better. Quote

For guys who love each other, they certainly have a funny way of showing it on the ice 1 Quote
