ESPN+ will not air the Ray HoF induction. But the Sabres will post the video on their website/YouTube after.

If the owner is involved in the induction I hope the fans don't boo. Not because the owner doesn't deserve to be booed but because it would be unfair to Razor on his special day.

Yeah, there's a time and place. That ain't it.

I could be remembering wrong, but I feel like there was some booing of TP during RJs ceremony.

He should make himself invisible…just like he does for the rest of the hockey season.  If he wants to make himself part of the ceremony, then he gets what he deserves.

SELL THE TEAM!

It was loud but quick.

This is Rob Ray's day. If the owner is booed because of his presence, it will become the storyline for the event. Going beyond Rob Ray as a hockey player and his post career involvement with the team, he has also been every involved in community activities that help people who need it. There is plenty of time to criticize the owner and the organization. There is a time and place. Expressing one's venom toward the incompetent owner at that particular event is not the right time to do so. And it should be noted that I am one of the harshest critics of the owner and his personally selected ill-equipped GM.

Agree John.  I bet there are a few who won’t practice decorum.

I hope they do a nice job for Rayzor and win the game too.

The ceremony can be done with class without an appearance by either KA or Pegula.  I don’t think Ray would be offended if Pegula isn’t standing there with his usual dorky clueless look on his face.

Don’t get me wrong, if I was there, I would not boo dumb & dumber, but for those in attendance, do as you please, you paid to be there.

I'm going to play devils advocate here....and I'm not saying I support this point of view, but just putting out out there of how people may think....

They might justify booing by saying....Pegula is never here. He hardly talks to the fans. Isn't avaiable for press. He is invisible to the fans and hides to not take any heat.  If THIS night is the night he shows up, that is my only chance to boo him.  If that takes away from Rob Ray's night...thant is on Pegula, not me for booing.  In essense, if he shows up he's doing it this night as a way to 'hide' behind Rob Ray's moment.

Again, I'm not a person who boos...but I can see those who would boo him as using the above as a justification.

Thumbs down bc he was booed on RJ Night and it did not become the storyline.

BTW I was there and did not boo.

Maybe the fans could give a <clap-clap, clapclapclap> "Sor--ry Rayzor! (for imposing on your big day)" <clap-clap, clapclapclap> "Fire Kevyn!" chant going -- so Ray isn't hurt.

Ray will also completely understand if when he tries to speak, the crowd roars with delight and applause, but when Adams/Terry get announced or are talking there's a lot of booing and angst. Ray gets it.

I'm seeing the game will be broadcast on NHL Network. Can anyone confirm? If so, it won't be on ESPN+. (And, like me, SOL if you don't get NHL Network).

Yup - this is NHL Network only for those of outside the MSG broadcast area.

Edit: my bad.   Dunleavy on the Radio!

That has to be because of the Sabres organization or MSG because other teams show pre and post game shows but not the Sabres

Duff on the Radio!

I guess that forces me to do other things tonight. Not necessarily a bad thing. Will definitely watch Rayzor's video, tho!

Have you ever watched wrestling?

the boos will have quickly turned to cheers by the time Ray has finished with Terry at centre ice

I saw a Sabres post on Facebook titled, “Before Rob Ray is inducted into the Sabres Hall of Fame tonight, Terry Pegula unveiled his name in our hockey hallway.

Forever enshrined with the Sabres greats.”

So my guess is the team knows Terry will be a distraction and will show this on the video board.  But that’s pure speculation on my part. It would be weird if the owner wasn’t there, but it also would not surprise me.

That had to be a joke. It’s a pretty funny one.

Don’t worry, they’ll boo.
