About 23-8-1 should give us a chance. That’ll get us to 90 which is I think the cutoff RN

Some quick thoughts about this game: The Sabres were simply faster and quicker than Boston. Our team defense, including the forwards, were on top of the Boston players throughout the game.

First star goes to Thompson. Second star to UPL, who made the play of the game when in the third period he made a nice catch on a two on nothing rush. The tick tack toe pass to Thompson for his score was the second best play of the game. Peterka gets my third star. He made some nice shots. 

All of our blueline players played well. I thought for the most part we quickly got the puck out of our zone. 

The Bruins are 13 points ahead of us in the standings. Yet, in this game we were the far superior team in all aspects of the game, especially team speed. I thought this was one of our best games of the season. After watching this game it's upsetting how this season unfolded for us.

The Bruins look very old and very slow. Missing the better half of their defense as well. Oh well, it was a good time to kick their teeth in. They mailed it in once JJP got the response goal.

Zadorov gave JJP a bump, but they didn't even try to goon it up at the end.

Nice to see a full team effort and to be rewarded for it. Two guys with hatties is cool. Good to see JJ stick up for himself with big Z well sort of. Can’t question his push back but he is a little un compared to Zadarov. He can’t expect anyone else to come to his defense. Good win.

Told you Bruins aren't what they used to be. Can't score and slow. They've been blown out like this by almost everyone who skates fast with skill. This is the frustrating thing for me. When Bruins fell, Sabres were supposed to rise. Ottawa appears to be the team seizing the moment instead.

They did a good job containing Pastrnak. Laid the body on him a few times. 

TT and Peterka obviously with great offensive production. Wish it was more consistent.

No major defensive complaints other than the late 2 on 0.

Good offensive zone passing. It was accurate and creative. Signs of confidence.

UPL had flashes of brilliance mixed with some difficulties tracking rebounds.

Good win even if it was an uncharacteristic performance by BOS.

I appreciate the optimism, I really do. This team’s playoff hopes are dead though. Nothing in the last five plus years indicates they are reliable enough to pull that off. Especially when everyone else is making a push.
