So you want to let our pending UFA’s walk away for nothing in return???

To be fair, if they resign Greenway and Zucker, the Sabres would be lucky to get a few mid round picks for Joki, Bryson and Gilbert

I’m fine with this. Would rather these players stick around longer. If we have a new FO in place, they just might stay longer. Otherwise, I’m really not interested in adding a couple more 2nd or 3rd rounders. I think our reality has become so warped that draft picks have become a valued currency instead of winning.

Sabres will do nothing at the deadline.  I expect the overhaul to occur during the summer.

Not really invested in what they do with Adams.  I’m still not convinced he’s going anywhere.  Firing Lindy now or even after the season would be doing him pretty dirty.  I mean he probably deserves it but you have to maintain face as an org.  Maybe move him into a different role but straight up canning him is a terrible looks.

None of it really matters unless TP gets a "give a damn" transplant.

It matters to me. I’m not watching another season with him as GM. It matters because accountability should matter: results should matter. We should have some level of expectation. This needs to be communicated: the players and organization cannot continue on knowing winning doesn’t matter and everyone gets a free pass. There’s nothing that can ever be done about the owner. We can try another GM who maybe can figure things out: there’s literally no harm in trying. 5 straight years missing while averaging 76 points a year all while torpedoing of late means Adams deserves to be canned.

Yes, I'm certainly in agreement that KA needs to go. It won't help much if Terry trots out another safe pick like Fortin who is selected on the basis of essentially continuing the same doomed manner of running the team. But maybe out-of-sheer luck the hapless owner will unintentionally end up with competency, though that would presumably involve telling the owner when he's an idiot and a cheapskate that is harming the capacity of the team to compete.

If I were Buffalo, I would be having serious conversations with LA about Jordan Spence. He's a rhd and can play on the 2nd pair. I feel like LA would move on from him with some of their RHDs in the pipeline and I am wondering if it would even cost that much.

Based on history - nothing that will change the direction of the team over the last 13 years.  Why do anything when you  have a good thing going.  Look at all the top notch administrative leaders of thi organization.

Mark Jakubowski 11  years, Kevin Adams GM, then all the Pittsburgh retreads the last 3-4 years...

If my work history was as prolific as the Sabers, I would be homeless.

Why?  To play on ruff's Team and count on Adams to make the right choices...

They can take a long walk off a short pier with any proposals regarding Tuch

I tend to agree on any offer for Tuch, but there is always that one deal.  For example, what about Rantanan for Tuch & a 2nd and Rantanan agrees to an extension?

Why would Rantanan not extend in North Carolina and then sign with Buffalo?  Never gonna happen.

I know, but stranger things have happened.  Maybe he's friends with UPL and wants to with him?

Can we hire you as GM? Love this idea.

I like Rantanen but still like Tuch more to be honest. Tuch bring many elements even Rantanen doesn't have.

I'd say the chances of Rantanen wanting to come here and sign an extension are about 0.000000000000000001%.
