To be fair, if they resign Greenway and Zucker, the Sabres would be lucky to get a few mid round picks for Joki, Bryson and Gilbert Quote

Would rather these players stick around longer. If we have a new FO in place, they just might stay longer. Otherwise, I’m really not interested in adding a couple more 2nd or 3rd rounders. I think our reality has become so warped that draft picks have become a valued currency instead of winning. 2 Quote

Firing Lindy now or even after the season would be doing him pretty dirty. I mean he probably deserves it but you have to maintain face as an org. Maybe move him into a different role but straight up canning him is a terrible looks. You should be Edited Thursday at 02:28 AM by Thorner 1 Quote

I’m not watching another season with him as GM. It matters because accountability should matter: results should matter. We should have some level of expectation. This needs to be communicated: the players and organization cannot continue on knowing winning doesn’t matter and everyone gets a free pass. There’s nothing that can ever be done about the owner. We can try another GM who maybe can figure things out: there’s literally no harm in trying. 5 straight years missing while averaging 76 points a year all while torpedoing of late means Adams deserves to be canned. Yes, I'm certainly in agreement that KA needs to go. It won't help much if Terry trots out another safe pick like Fortin who is selected on the basis of essentially continuing the same doomed manner of running the team. But maybe out-of-sheer luck the hapless owner will unintentionally end up with competency, though that would presumably involve telling the owner when he's an idiot and a cheapskate that is harming the capacity of the team to compete. 1 Quote
LGR4GM Posted Thursday at 02:34 PM Report Posted Thursday at 02:34 PM If I were Buffalo, I would be having serious conversations with LA about Jordan Spence. He's a rhd and can play on the 2nd pair. I feel like LA would move on from him with some of their RHDs in the pipeline and I am wondering if it would even cost that much. 3 1 Quote
MISabresFan Posted Thursday at 02:40 PM Report Posted Thursday at 02:40 PM Based on history - nothing that will change the direction of the team over the last 13 years. Why do anything when you have a good thing going. Look at all the top notch administrative leaders of thi organization. Mark Jakubowski 11 years, Kevin Adams GM, then all the Pittsburgh retreads the last 3-4 years... If my work history was as prolific as the Sabers, I would be homeless. 5 minutes ago, LGR4GM said: If I were Buffalo, I would be having serious conversations with LA about Jordan Spence. To play on ruff's Team and count on Adams to make the right choices... 1 1 Quote
