I think he's been really good since about Christmas.  I was really impressed the last few games with him Krebs and Benson.  Great hustle and pressure throughout.

Yeah, I don’t know what to say. He looked so tentative. Such an obvious spot where he was the first forechecker and needed to be on top of the d-man. So often this team (this isn’t on just Quinn obviously), just fails to do the fundamental things that are part of winning.

I wish it was just him.  I’m not sure how much defense anyone on this roster actually plays.  Zucker, Benson maybe.  Not really any of the defenseman.

We played physical. We out hit them 20-9.

We simply didn’t play to win the last 10 minutes. Flames wanted the win and took it.

Not sure if it’s the line match ups or our leaders don’t rise to the challenge.

2nd goal.  - here is my Alex Tuch complaint ; he has an easy pass to Peterka for a breakaway and misses him badly.   Puck goes to Edmonton and straight back up the ice to get their 2nd goal.   I really don't know what to think of Tuch , does a lot of good but is there someway to make him just a little more accurate?  
3rd goal.   Make a Save.  2nd shot against in the period after being stonewalled by Skinner at the other end 

overall they played ok. Weren't embarrassing, so that's positive I guess

One more positive - fast forward 2 years , Kulich will battle Tage as their goalscorer.  love a lot about the kid.  His super quick release is gonna beat a lot of goalies

Really like what Kulich is bringing. His hard work is showing. He needs to keep working physically, get closer to the 200 pound range (190-195 would be great) for greater strength and he can be a force for us. I'd be happy with a Tage-Kulich-Tuch line next year. Or move Tuch to line 2 and put JJP up there.

Those hit stats are bs. I don't think there was one good hit by either side in the entire game. Just bumping into someone counts as a "hit" these days but it's not. This was as non physical of a hockey game as you can get.

No one on this roster does with regularity.  Minus Zucker who hasn’t been tainted by darkSabre yet.  These guys have no desire to do anything that’ll mess their hair up.  Just figure skaters for our entertainment.  Great roster assembly Kevyn.  
 

That’s really the beginning and end of it.  Drafting and developing is the path to success.  Unfortunately, they’ve been terrible at both. They drafted super talented kids.  Not sure if any of them has a pulse after Benson. Their actions speak a lot louder than their words.  They don’t care enough to do the things that professional men do on the ice.  Drive the net, back check, make intelligent decisions with the puck.  They do none of it.

So 15 points and 18 games... Honestly not really all that different of a pace that they were doing before he went there. 

If anything... He told the team that nothing is going to change... And he was right... Nothing changed... In terms of the results as well as who's in the room.

Pegula was absolutely correct that the answers were in that room. They were just all wrong answers.

It’s abundantly clear that injecting youth en mass to an nhl roster with little veteran presence, those players that have not filled out their size frames yet, that are still maturing to the speed and decision making merger at the the nhl level, is a very bad idea.

There is also a very disappointing drafting ability on display here in Buffalo. I am certain some of these high 1st round draft picks career trajectories would have been much more positive, not only in development and eventual maturation with production, but also in leadership ability growth, as they more than likely would have been around a vastly greater veteran roster presence.

This organizations failure to identify this and course correct on it is on full display, in this fans humbled opinion.

They will drain the fight and care out of him soon like cozens and peterka and Quinn and Samuelson and so many others Benson may take a bit longer the force is strong in him but eventually they will make him bo give a s#it as well
