His few games in the past or earlier this year, he was out there but wasn't so quick to shoot, he was deferring to line-mates more, wasn't as aggressive.

Now it looks like he 'feels' like he belongs more. He is quicker to take a good shot. 

Hopefully that translates to his game continuing to improve.

He is one of the very few positives in this season so far.

I know they won't because there is 0 accountability with this team but Peterka has been absolutely abysmal, gave the puck over 3 times and was literally floating instead of taking RNH on that goal, his ass should be benched for several games.

More low IQ defensive play.  Dahlin with the turnover, loses his stick.  Oiler has the puck on the backboard and BOTH Dahlin and Byram go after the same player behind the line……leaving the front slot wide open…..just DUMB

I’ve been thinking about why he such a fancy stat darling.  Maybe he’s ***** Bobby Orr but his defense is so woeful that it just looks like he’s really good.  Not sure if that makes any sense.  I want to like him.  I look for the positives. Every game I see something I can’t believe an NHL defenseman is actually doing.   It’s baffling.  He’s big, strong, elusive, creative.  So many tools but the eye test is meh.  He’ll the wow you for 57 minutes and have two turnovers that end up in the net in .5 seconds.  I’ve always looked at him as high risk high reward.  Maybe that’s wrong.  Maybe he’s high risk, not a lot of reward.  Idk man.  He needs to be great.  I don’t think we see it enough when it matters.
