Imagine keeping Skinner and still signing Zucker. They’d have… what… 2 more wins? Imagine how potent the offense will be when he's dealt at the deadline for a pennies on the dollar draft pick. 1 Quote

After Samuelsson went down to try to block that shot, Cozens skates by him as Samuelsson is getting up. Skinner is looking into the corner and doesn't even see Samuelsson getting up off the ice and Cozens skates aright into his teammate almost taking him down again. Cozens did that a few days games ago against Seattle. I forgot which winger it was, I think Peterka or Tuch, But Cozens was gliding through the offensive zone toward the boards but he was looking in a different direction than he was skating. The winger was trying to get back up ice into the neutral zone and Cozens skated right into him, they both spun around and took each other out of things for a few seconds as Seattle took the puck up the ice for an eventual 3 on 2. 1 Quote

Carmel Corn Posted Saturday at 09:54 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:54 PM Shots 12-5 for the Oilers. Buffalo had the lead for a whopping 17 seconds. Quote

ExWNYer Posted Saturday at 09:56 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:56 PM So what are we thinking? Two Oiler goals in the 2nd to make it 3-1, a Sabres goal in the 3rd to make it 3-2 followed by another Oiler goal and then the eventual 100% empty netter that makes the final 5-2? Place your bets. 1 Quote

SwampD Posted Saturday at 10:00 PM Report Posted Saturday at 10:00 PM I love that Skinner scored and not surprised at all. This team sucks,… even if they win today. Is there anything they do well? The past couple of games I've been laughing that Dan actually has to point it out when there is a tape to tape pass, as if it is something that rarely happens in the NHL. 😂 1 minute ago, inkman said: I can’t imagine caring about any of this This makes me sad. I was enamored with them as Amerks as I knew for certain that no Sabre mishandling could derail these sure fire NHL stars in the making. Welp. All that hope is gone. Those guys are ruined, destined to be shells of the potential we saw. They have become fully ingrained in Sabre culture where production and winning are mere afterthoughts. I’m sure the players are just as confused, depressed and annoyed as the rest of us. No hope. No end in sight. Just losing. It’s all they know. 1 Quote
rickshaw Posted Saturday at 10:06 PM Report Posted Saturday at 10:06 PM So I figure this is probably accurate but not official. But we must lead the league in: -Empty net goals against -Scoring, only to have other team answer back less than a minute later -giving up multiple goals within a minute Seem about right? 1 Quote

I did check a week or two ago, and I think the Sabres were actually 4th in empty net goals allowed when I looked. Chicago was #1. Quote

Goals allowed 6v5 (you have the 6th man on the ice). Colorado leads with 16. Buffalo and Chicago tied for 2nd with 15. For comparison...they only allowed 10 ALL last season. I totally get it, which is why I posted the image below on page one of this thread. I have no faith that Adams will be fired, no faith that the front office will be cleaned out, no faith that any trades of significance will be made (I don't want Adams' or his cronies' fingerprints on any potential deals anyway), and...most importantly...absolutely no faith that Pegula will do right by the fans and sell the team. Nothing has changed since he bought the team so why would I think that it will suddenly start happening at the trade deadline and in the off-season? Quote

I put it in another thread, but if they’re eligible, JJP and Quinn should both be looking for offer sheets in the offseason and refusing anything with term past their 1st UFA season with the Sabres. There’s still time for them to get the most out of their careers. Quote
