My statement is true.  They have produced the same number of points 5 on 5 and Power is the bigger liability on defense.  His one extra goal this season came on the PP which Byram doesn't play.  

A player who has scored more points than another provides more offense. Goals and assists scored on the PP are still tallied in the points column by NHL statisticians. Players are generally put on the PP because they are the best at generating scoring opportunities during a period of advantage for the team. Scoring = offense.

At the point you made the statement, it was in fact incorrect. There is nothing left to say regarding that.

If I'm McLeod or Byram, I'm going one of two routes: arbitration or looking for a nice offer sheet to let the ownership know I don't want to be here. If I'm Quinn or JJP, I'm also looking for one-year offer sheets if eligible for it, and let the suitor know I'm open to signing an extension with them. Nothing long-term here.

There isn't a great deal of physicality in college hockey, anyway. Not like the NHL (or the AHL). But the FO, if they had any presence of mind, had to think if he understood what was needed for the NHL he'd become a bigger, stronger, faster player who could use his size and 'power' to good effect. Someone needs to light a fire under that kid or he's another wasted top pick. 

And we are likely on our way to another high draft pick, top 3-4, who might come into the league when he turns 21 or 22 and everyone will say, "Well, he's still young."
