Kadri was out of the box so it was 6 on 5. Waiting until very late in the PP to pull Luukkonen was a choice, though.

Lafferty smartly kills the PP before they can give up another empty netter.

We really do have to blow this whole thing up don’t we?

I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and we have just as much a chance to get to the playoffs or at least track toward that directly after blowing up this whole roster as we do of trying to add to it or change it up.

So blowing up the roster shouldn’t be such a big deal to us I don’t think. We should genuinely try to maximize the return on as much of the talent as we can. I actually think we’re set at goaltender which is nice. But blow the rest of it up and get as much as we can in return.

When Rob was saying in the pregame about how what we did differently was our work ethic in the win against Vancouver, it really pissed me off. How tf is that not a basic requirement of being an NHLer on a nightly basis. So sick of seeing anything less than that.

No we don’t, but the current management doesn’t have the ability to fix this mess without blowing it up.  
 

I’ve been very vocal in my disdain for the Adams administration, but between TNT, Tuch, Benson, JJP, Dahlin, Kulich, Byram, UPL and maybe Quinn there are pieces here of a good team.  The roster is just designed so badly and without a real vision how to win in the NHL, they can’t win.

One good half-period of hockey (first half of the second).

One uffda-style carom off Dahlin for the SHG, a weak goal by UPL, Power on the guy but not really tying him up for the GWG, and then Calgary simply skating circles around them for the final 20 minutes.

This team needs a goalie to steal them one. Wolf was excellent. He's played 100 more AHL games than Levi has.

But can we fix it without blowing it up though? I’m not saying we ship out every single good player, but I don’t think we should be too worried about holding onto any of them at this point.

Exactly. Many of these guys could be/should be excellent players, but Adams has bungled the roster construction so badly that it's just a total mess.

The goaltender has been a big issue this season.   Not consistent, unable to reset after a goal is scored on him and flubbing way more he should, including tonight
