Mustache of God Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 A win tonight brings us within 2 points of the 15th place team in the conference (while having played 2 more games). Maybe a W tonight lays a solid foundation for a 20 game win streak. 1 3 Quote

Flashsabre Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 Don’t root for a loss. There is no McDavid in this draft. Quote

I'm not rooting for a loss, but for those who are its not all about the draft picks. Some root for losses in the hope that things get SO bad that it will force more changes, whether that is trades, GM/coach changes, or even massive roster changes. So again, I personally do not watch the games myself rooting for a loss....to me its more one-night entertaiment...but its not all about the draft picks for those that do. 2 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted January 23 Report Posted January 23 I will be sure I am dead and I am in hell if the Sabres get the overall first pick and (as it looks like today) a left shot D man is the consensus top pick in the draft. Just win some f'n games, entertain a little, sell at the deadline, fire Adams, and Terry, maybe he gets to retire in Florida and hug a Superbowl trophy for the rest of his days while he gets to frak baby frak and he lets somebody else run this damn thing. otherwise it's all just a bad joke that never ends. 2 Quote

Problem is that there just doesn’t seem to be a SO bad for the powers that be. It’s like TP got so used to digging deep for shale to frack that he just can’t relate to how deep the bottom for his hockey team really is. Quote

Quantiatively: HC Krueger got 12 losses in a row and Granato lost another 6 in a row when he started, so we know it's at least 18. And GM Sheevyn did hold a press conference about Krueger saying it wasn't good enough on 3/5/2021 when the losing streak was only 5 games, then held on for another 12 days and 7 consecutive losses before the firing. Ruff was allowed 13 losses this year and GM Sheevyn didn't even have to give him the vote of confidence press conference, just lament about palm trees. Qualitatively: To fire Adams? It's not performance based. He listens the owners and shouldn't that be enough? Quote

rickshaw Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 A loss is probably best for draft position, however I hate the redneck flames and redneck oilers. Anytime they’re playing in Alberta I want us to thump them. Quote
