Well that's the narrative, and I guess he does have to import his palm trees if he comes here but my point would be we toss away better players and overpay replacements and there's no improvement. You could just grab one off the waiver wire and be no worse off, maybe better off and oh ya, have some extra cash to overpay a top 6 Zucker type or a steady D man but Sabres be Sabres.

Many years ago, Washington Caps Coach Ron Wilson called the Sabres a chicken $hit team.   Fast forward today, nothing has changed.  It’s tough rooting for a team with no spine and no te$ticles.

I also believe the Sabres read the room a bit wrong a while back and assumed the NHL was becoming a less physical, wide open, skating league and drafted and developed as such. I don't think think they guessed right, and are paying for it now.
