I cannot believe they gave up a SOG in the final seconds.

Good win.

UPL was big.  Can we stop the Levi stuff.  He is not ready.

I truly believe that Levi is the real deal, but he absolutely should stay in Rochester for the next 1-2 years. It’ll be great for him. We are very lucky to have a true number one young goaltender on a fair contract (number one tonight, tomorrow people will claim he’s barely average), and also have a really great young prospect in Rochester.

As opposed to??   Gilbert ? Jokiharju? It's what they have.   Blame the GM not the coach

Samuelsson and Dahlin.  Two guys from the stands.  Me and you.  Anyone would be better.

We will know when he is ready.  It isn’t this year.

Darn, no Gilligan’s Island to watch tonight instead so … Hogan’s Heroes it is! Which is entirely appropriate because this team should all be sent to the Russian front.

Me after watching the Sabres get owned by Seattle, then on a back-to-back beat a better team.

Kulich now with 8 goals, EP40 with 11 goals. Let that sink in.

Kulich is the lone bright spot on the season. I feel smug because he was the Sabres draft pick I liked the best that year but regardless of that, I'm glad he looks good. You can see Ruff thinks the same as he is using him in moments you would think were normally reserved for veterans. He looks like the real deal.

I think the Vancouver goal where they just circled and circled and the Sabres moved in tighter and tighter and it just seemed to go on forever until they scored was an example of the worst of what this team is. Just horrendous D, but they came back so what can you do.

It was nice to come back and win a game for a change (even if it did look like another collapse in the final minutes until the clock ran out).

Adams has to try to stop trying to make him the number one goalie. He needs 2-3 full years in Rochester much like Calgary developed Wolfe. They should have played Reimer and they should get a better veteran #2 to back up UPL next year. End the blocking nonsense and start developing people properly.

Agree. I think the thing is that Levi is on his last contract year and his next contract might not allow them to send him down without being on waivers first. They are hoping he could be their back-up, but that is not going to be a succesful solution. And then, if his numbers says he should be sent down, is he still a young goalie that teams take a chance on, and hope their (probably) better D can make him more reliable? But with UPL and a good veteran back-up, we don't have to think of that.

Went to bed after 2 and just finished watching P3. Kulich was fantastic.  Not just in the goals but on the draw. Faceoffs matter when they matter and he won the faceoffs leading to goal 3 and leading to getting the puck out cleanly with seconds left (though we still gave up a scoring chance).

Over the course of the season we are seeing young players take turns showing us what they might be. Nothing shocking about the fact they have not been able to sustain their higher levels of play. Factor in that there are so many young players on the team and it is not a surprise we are out of it again. Prepare for the spin that “We knew it was always a possibility it would be a tough year” and that “We need to remain patient and trust the process”.

Last night I experienced the highest of highs as a fan. Tonight I'm watching a team that has inflicted nothing but misery for a decade and a half. Why am I doing this to myself?

Wait is this in reference to college football where one of 5 schools only ever has a chance at the chip?

Kulich was 45% on the dot.  Kozak and Krebs were 67% and 62% respectively.  The team as a whole as 50-50 on the dot.

Watched replay. In shock they came back, down 2-1 . Kulich did well although he needs improvement on D, like the rest of the forwards. Dahlin makes a good play after having a bad game. He gave the puck away constantly. UPL was good.

Canucks must be very depressed, losing to a bottom feeder.

We have some young centres who are better at face-offs than the Thompson/Cozens/Mitts trio. Krebs has been good through the year. McLeod also. Kulich’s % on the night and year is not great, but he won two important face-offs cleanly. Face-offs in general have been a rare area of improvement this year.
