How do you mean they didn't have to trade Eichel?ย
Samson was a year away from being a UFA.ย
I hate that either had to be traded but because the Sabres are a circus franchise owned by a clown, they had no choiceย

He was still under contract on a long term dealโ€ฆ..so NO, they didnโ€™t have to trade him. ย I like Tuch, but Iโ€™d rather have Eichelโ€ฆ..even though he wasnโ€™t the most likable guy.

Is that bad?

Most of us have been commenting about the lousy shot making all season.

They practice shooting, yet not a sniper in the group. Below average shooters.ย

There was one night I forget the game, where a bunch of comments were made about how they must have practiced shooting accuracy because most of them were on point

I guess that was the one practice of the year where they worked on that?ย

Does anyone else think that all of this is so much worse because of the fact that the Bills are now such a well run, top organization and itโ€™s the same owner? It has to heighten the anger and confusion.ย

itโ€™s like โ€ฆ impossibleโ€ฆ

Other than the only explanation being Terry just totally lucked out with hiring McBeane. Itโ€™s the only way this is possible.ย

And Josh developed into a double threat All Pro QB.

Yup, pretty pathetic that they canโ€™t convert despite the huge difference. ย Too many low quality chances as usual.

But HEYโ€ฆ.they have 15 SOGโ€™s vs. O in the last game (for the 3rd period)

Itโ€™s bad when you score only one goal on 38 shots. They very well may have 50 at the end of the gameย

The NFL supposedly gives recommendations for hiring coaching/GM candidates from what I've heard. The NHL you have to just wing it, I'm not 100% on that so don't quote me but it makes more sense if true.ย

Thank God for Josh and the Bills.ย

Thatโ€™s interesting if true! Honestly never heard that.ย

WE have 38?!ย

I thought with all the wild misses we were lower.ย

I just heard today that the Sabres have only had two experienced GMโ€™s ever, imlach and bowman. ย

It's all luck.ย  99% of professional sports owners have no idea what they're doing when hiring a GM or coach.ย  Pegula is no different.

He was an RFA that would only sign for 1 more year before going to UFA statusย

I know he wasn't on a long term contract , he signed his RFA deal with Florida after he was tradedย

Hope you don't think I would rather Alex Tuch than Jack Eichel? ย  I want the team sold, the GM fired along with anyone else who even played even the slightest role in driving him out of town

I am saying Adams got an ok deal all things considered ย  ย It was the best deal he was going getย

UPL got paid and then turned back into a pumpkin.ย

Iโ€™m just not buying this sentiment. He could be better Iโ€™m sure, but I place the blame 90:10 on the defense. Heโ€™s consistently hung out to dry by our porous, soft defense.ย

Kevyn Adams bridged Sam when he wanted a long term deal, then after another season of trash, didn't want a long term deal. A real GM would have signed him and fixed the team, convincing him to stay.

Hayes had everyone beat. Skates through half the team and nobody touches him.ย

These guys get excited and focused for like one game out of three or four and maybe one period a night. Itโ€™s so unacceptable.
