There's very little to talk about because the franchise has made it clear they aren't going to do anything. All the we need a 2C we need a defensive partner for Power etc stuff just feels pointless. Only old people with nothing better to do (like myself) or real extreme die hards are left day to day.Β

Sabres are better than Penguins if they play, but those Pittsburgh vets will find a way if Sabres slack, as they often do. Hardly matters either way. Probably better to tank πŸ™‚

Β

No tanking please.Β  Β This team will probably finish bottom 6 even if they try.Β  Β Is there a reason to tank?Β Β

To me....what you said is what is just SO frustrating about this season.Β

Not that a GOOD veteran defensman is easy to get but.....I think this team is much, MUCH better (playoffs probably) if you just found a way to get 1 legit 2nd pair quality vet D-man for Power...and if you found a way to move Cozens for a DECENT middle 6 center (give me a guy like McLeod with 5% more talent).

I mean the obvious reason is for a higher draft pick where you would presumably get a better prospect. But this team is loaded to the gills with prospects. What this team needs to learn how to do is WIN, so I don't see how tanking is more beneficial to this roster than learning how to actually close out games.Β

We agree that the winning culture has to start now.Β  No more tanking, ever.Β Β

There will be a good player there when we pick.Β Β

Cozens has had multiple chances to finish his checks along the boards, but simply disengages….not a new problem, but still disappointing to see.

Lot of these guys are like that. We are really weak against the boards. Benson tries his ass off, but he usually gets out muscled. Just another flaw on Adams's roster construction.Β
