Isn't it more embarrassing to Carolina than us?

That we didn't register a shot on goal in the 3rd period when leading 3-0 or that we nearly coughed up another 3 goal lead or ........

Or that Carolina lost to us

thats where I am at... how many teams have never registered a shot on goal in a period... that in and of itself is just telling...

Sitting thru a third period where we’re up by two or three and the coach switches to ‘ alamo ‘ mode instead of trying to make plays or attack the net or for gods sake get a friggin shot on the opposing tender is insanity. If this is the gameplan fire the whole coaching staff because this isn’t the hockey I want any part of. Its maddening.

Agreed. I sat there completely baffled Lindy would go that route against a high scoring team. I mean, we didn’t even try to get down the ice and make any serious attack. Playing scared is not good for the culture.

It does happen occasionally. The Rangers, however, are the only team that registered 0 shots in a game, on  Oct 12 1958. They lost 3-0 to the Red Wings.

So we weren't the first.

The others were in OT and did not comprise an entire period.
