Big Guava Posted Friday at 12:01 AM Report Posted Friday at 12:01 AM (edited) Sabres become the first team in NHL history to record a goal with no shots in a full 20 minute period/not OT. https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/buffalo-sabres-first-team-score-goal-with-no-shots-20-minute-period Edited Friday at 12:04 AM by Big Guava Quote
DarthEbriate Posted Friday at 12:23 AM Report Posted Friday at 12:23 AM This goal and the Pysyk butt goal would be so much more enjoyable if they were good teams and had an impact on the team being competitive. It's still a neat statistical anomaly. Quote

PerreaultForever Posted Friday at 02:23 AM Report Posted Friday at 02:23 AM It's fun weird trivia but nothing to be proud of. 1 Quote

bunomatic Posted Friday at 03:03 PM Report Posted Friday at 03:03 PM (edited) Sitting thru a third period where we’re up by two or three and the coach switches to ‘ alamo ‘ mode instead of trying to make plays or attack the net or for gods sake get a friggin shot on the opposing tender is insanity. If this is the gameplan fire the whole coaching staff because this isn’t the hockey I want any part of. Its maddening. Edited Friday at 03:03 PM by bunomatic 2 Quote

I sat there completely baffled Lindy would go that route against a high scoring team. I mean, we didn’t even try to get down the ice and make any serious attack. Playing scared is not good for the culture. 1 Quote

It does happen occasionally. The Rangers, however, are the only team that registered 0 shots in a game, on Oct 12 1958. They lost 3-0 to the Red Wings. Quote
