Is it time to consider taking away the C from Dahlin or does that do nothing and lose the player?

I stand corrected.  He’s definitely making a difference

That's crazy. 7 years of watching him and I thought he had turned into our best player.   But the box sheet from 1 game tells a completely different story

can't believe how wrong I was about him

hopefully we see him in the press box.  More time for Gilbert, Jokiharju and Bryson!!!

This settles it, Connor Clifton is better than Rasmus Dahlin, trade Dahlin and sign Clifton to an 8yr extension ASAP!

I would

I cannot imagine quite honestly anyone with solid NHL contributing talent would not want out... their careers are only so long... why would they want this misery year after year after year with literally no hope in sight...  lack of hope does terrible things to people... if they have the chance to ply their skills in a more functional situation then this I dont care how much they love the area or require palm trees etc... you cant tell me that as professionals that they can possibly be happy and fulfilled.  I want people that want to win and win a championship... how can any of those realistically look at this and see their way thru to that...  now the happy to be here in the NHL crowd.. sure they will stay because they are probably not playing on another team..

I couldnt agree more, how long before Tuch, or Thompson or Dahlin etc... get frustrated wasting their prime with a team going no where... its a real concern... people are willing to go thru tough times if there is hope and light... but this is a dark and seemingly hopeless abyss unless major changes literally an eradication of the FO and a replacing with competence happens... if the Pegula is the GM and Adams is the mouthpiece people are right, there is no hope unless he sells... if its just nespotic choices by a bad owner and he decides to change then maybe there is... but its hard to see it right now... I can only imagine what they see on the inside... we are fans.. this is literally their careers... Now if we had Palm trees... things would clearly be different lol...

The prior core (ROR, Eichel, Reinhart) all managed to leave.  It will happen again with Dahlin and Thompson and others too.

Adam’s tried to overcome the “Buffalo is a bad destination “ problem but he made it worse by not convincing Terry to let Eichel have the surgery, and by not extending Reinhart and a few others.  His concept of stockpiling picks, then draft and develop with “no blockers”, has failed.  Most of his young players have regressed while playing in a losing environment.

I’m pretty sure the Sabres can manage to achieve their current pace without those aforementioned players.
