Pimlach Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 The extra two sucks. But Gilbert had to answer. 1 Quote
PonyBoy2 Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 I am sure this has been covered on this board, but.... How can this organization justify having Rob Ray be an analyst? As a player he couldn't skate, score, pass, win faceoffs, wasn't on the power play, penalty kill. He was an 8 minute per game forward & a fighter. What intellectual input does he add as a former player to mildly educate us about the nuances of the game or critique of it? What makes it worse is he talks too much too. It's a poor reflection on the organization. His comments some times are galactically stupid. We were so spoiled with Jim Lorentz. 1 Quote

The NHL acts like they want teams to police themselves. Then when a team like the Sabres starts doing it, they forget the established protocol and start hammering them with extra penalties. The NHL wants it both ways. It’s always been their problem. 2 1 Quote

My biggest issue with them is when I'm out and listening on the radio, they often go minutes and minutes without saying the score. But then again, so did RJ. I don't think they are anything special, but I also don't really have a problem. 1 Quote

I have 3 TVs, my phone and a gaming console all at my fingertips. The last thing I’m doing is tuning in intently to any announcer on any game. Quote

Night Train Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 That's the start Sabres needed. Like the flow. Missed other chances. 16 shots. Quote
French Collection Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Quinn’s goal was a sniper’s goal. He can still shoot. Dahlin with some nice passes. 1 Quote

He is good at that and his humor helps. I would make it a three person team during the game and limit Ray’s input. Also, improve on the Dunleavy PBP. Get a guy that keeps up with the game and has better calls. RJ called the play. 2 Quote

They’ve started up going into the 2nd several times this season. The 3rd is what concerns me. Come on Lindy, teach them the golden rule, the Sabres mantra under your tenure……”go out there and run’em”!!! 1 Quote

Pimlach Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Ray just said “I’m gonna kick the crap out of Bryson”. 😆 Byram liking his Stevie Nicks. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 Weak penalty: Bryson just holding his position. Quote
