Almost noon on a game day with no game day thread.  Tis the season.  No one cares.  The season is shot.  The players aren’t capable or unwilling to fix it.  We will just suffer through the monotony of another failed season coping with alcohol and drug abuse.  Hopefully they lose their love for the game and all retire.  Go Sabres!!

We are all of us on SabreSpace caring too much & in the bottom of our collective cups (no not Lord Stanley’s). 

Yea!  We while away the years watching this team (with renewed hope every year).

Yearly before the winter solstice we are beaten down once again as continue to wither away and then die.

Nah, I’m pretty sure I don’t give a flying crap anymore as my decision not to renew after 30 some odd years as season ticket holders attests to. Haven’t watched a second of these losers since the debacle in Denver.

I love the ambiguity here. It's the absence of a preposition between "season coping" that does it. 

I initially read this as saying, essentially, that people are failing in their efforts not to cope through alcohol and drug abuse.

Come to think of it: I may need to up the dosage.
