Brandon Carlo to Toronto from Boston

Is Boston trying to hide their bail out until the very last second and avoid a little media/fan wrath?

And @Thorner, more fuel for you wanting to kill the “never trade within the division” idea.

Once he re-sign led Greenway and Zucker, he had no urgency to move anyone else as all the rest have no value or are under contract/control.   Power, JJP, Quinn, Malone, and Byram can still be traded, kept or the RFAs re-signed in the off-season when more teams have cap space.

Joker still here because he has no trade value

And he used the deadline to “change of scenery” a bit of the roster: something needed, that teams usually struggle to do when it comes to something like the trade deadline.

the deadline makes sense - especially when viewed through the context of the GM having more time later on to work on other stuff if he wants. Presumably someone doing their job would look to improve the roster on paper and not just shuffle things: that part remains to be seen.

deadline was a fitting one. It’s just not the right guy wearing the fit.

Must be nice being part of the Panther fan base.

instead we have a GM who scratched a player for a week to trade him and doesn’t trade him. And he trades him for a C who has had 3 surgeries on the same shoulder. Now I’m no fan of p@ssy cozens but this is not the guy we want. Plus Adams throws in a 2nd for the he’ll of it

If Marchand doesn't return in the summer, set themselves up for a McKenna run next season?

Carlo had another year on his deal. Boston will miss him.

From Toronto's perspective...  maybe Dubas was the problem? And the cap not going up [edit: for a few years there.]

I'm listening to TSN.ca Trade Tracker. The talking heads are talking about the "toughness" Dylan Cozens brings to Ottawa. Didn't Ray Ferraro just call out Cozens for standing around when Dahlin was getting jumped last night?

Cozens being tough is such a great bit. I hope whoever dreamed that up for the TSN guys is having a good laugh today.

It would appear nobody wanted Jokiharju. Not surprising. He's a JAG.

Must be nice to be fans of a team that are actually competitive and make bold moves during the deadline. Florida, Tampa, Edmonton, Dallas, Colorado all made moves to improve their team.

Adams didnt do enough. Ik the draft and July 1 are the 2nd window but I am a bit disappointed in his lack of urgency especially with the prices being paid around the league.

well at least he did something else... potentially

Maybe he already knew he was getting traded and made a business decision.
