Down another forward for however long.  Maybe Kozak gets another call up?

How about trying one of the big forwards in Rochester? Anton Wahlberg? Brett Murray? How about someone to replace Cozens while he watches from the press box?

Wahlberg had a great world thingy.  I’d like to see him.

Please no. Anton Wahlberg is younger than Benson. If there's one guy other than Helenius at forward we need to develop proper, it's Wahlberg. Let him stay in Rochester after a nice WJC.

I definitely don't want Wahlberg here long term, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea to give him a few games here if he's earned it (and to remind him that the WJC and NHL are entirely different levels of competition and he needs to keep working his ass off.)

I'm also fine with Murray or Kozak being the call up.

I thought the ship had sailed on near 27 year old Murray but if people want a big body, he’s got that.  Foot speed…not so much.

Honestly I would bring of Kozak and maybe even give Novikov a game. I also think Isak Rosen deserves a look more than Wahlberg.

A bunch of people have brought up Savoie and his AHL numbers recently and they are almost the exact same as Rosen's. Just food for thought.

Murray is slow and he does not hit or fight.

If you need a center I would bring up Kozak If you want a winger I would bring up Rousek. I think Rousek would have to clear waivers so I don't think you would want to call him up to sit on the bench for 2 games. Same with Murray.

I think i remember the amerks twitter account recently saying he is leading the ahl in power play goals 🤔

edit:  to be clear, i'm not saying that he should be called up

He does.  He leads the team in goals and  is tied for 6th in the league in goals.  He’s also a 6’5” 26 year old man playing against 20 year olds.  Hey, I’m for trying anything.  Not sure this is gonna do it.

No, probably not.  He's having a good year though, which I think is worth acknowledging.

I think it's Kozak for roster flexibility.  Either that or they bring up Rosen, but my guess is they would rather swap bodies on the 4th line. It's easier to move Quinn with Krebs and Benson and then they have all kinds of 4th line flexibility with Lafferty, NAK, Malenstyn and  then Kozak.

Rosen wouldn't be brought up for the 4th line.  Better to leave him in Rochester.
