If Greenway was healthy, somebody else like NAK or Lafferty would be scratched in favor of Krebs. It’s even more hilarious that Krebs in on the PP unit. Adams is truly stupid. Adams needs Krebs to happen. Sunk cost fallacy. 1 Quote

JohnC Posted Tuesday at 03:21 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:21 AM What this game demonstrates is that the difference between winning and losing is miniscule. Overall, I thought we played well. This team too often puts itself in a precarious position due to its sloppiness in getting the puck out of its zone. Washington's goalie was impressive in not only making some tough stops but also not allowing enticing rebounds. Dahlin is wracking up a lot of minutes and played to exhaustion. The JJP/Thompson/Tuch line played well. I liked how JJP played. If our sleepy GM could add another Zucker to this roster it would immensely help. His ability to constantly be around the net in the offensive zone is impressive. As @Archie Lee stated, Joki and Samuelsson played well. UPL has solidified his role as our primary goalie. The Sabres tendency to allow the opposition to catch up when we take the lead gets me in an agitated state. A win is a win. Some sloppy passing but the effort was there throughout. 2 Quote

I think Ruff just tinkers, sometimes to the point of detriment. McLeod and Tuch make a solid pairing in my view. With a scoring winger like Peterka, I think they can be a good two-way 2nd line. McLeod is not a conventional 2C, and wouldn’t be if we had actual centres, but I think we could survive him playing there. Petterson at centre with Thompson and Zucker could be a good line 1. 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted Tuesday at 03:23 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:23 AM There was a game played tonight right? I just got home and I'm looking at ESPN+ and there's no sign of a BUF-WAS game anywhere. Quote
LabattBlue Posted Tuesday at 03:28 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:28 AM (edited) Only caught the OT & Shootout. I was watching D1-AA Football Championship which by the way was a terrific game. Just one comment…Dumbleavy is perfect for this organization as he is an embarrassment. Just before the shootout starts, he says..”Maybe they should put Benson out there…just for fun”. Sure Dan, a franchise that has sucked for 14 years should do something just for the fun of it. What a moron. Edited Tuesday at 03:39 AM by LabattBlue 1 1 Quote

I need to put some research into this, but I thought of it earlier today in a different thread. It probably needs its own thread. They love Krebs and they put a ton of consistent effort into getting to be a 3/4C by playing him with Girgensons and Okposo for 1.5 seasons. But what did they do for Cozens (whom they also love)? Where was his stalwart veteran? What was his preparation for 2C? OK -- now I have to go do the research and facts to support my thoughts. 9 minutes ago, PromoTheRobot said: There was a game played tonight right? Part of me thinks he has to relinquish to Appert plenty of his authority because Seth will otherwise run to Kevyn to tell him Lindy is being mean to him. PromoTheRobot Posted Tuesday at 03:50 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:50 AM I just watched the extended highlights. Hard to tell how the game went but it looked like the Sabres did enough to win. But for the love of god, Lindy needs to park Cozens in the press box for a few nights! He a human turnover machine. How did he ever reach the NHL playing like this?? One shove and he collapses like a stack of wet dishes. Quote

He seriously needs to bulk up and maybe workout in the off-season with Rasmus Risto’s training program. He still looks like a bean pole and he’ll never be a true power forward unless he decides to do more about his strength training. 3 1 Quote

PerreaultForever Posted Tuesday at 05:18 AM Report Posted Tuesday at 05:18 AM Sabres played about as well as they are capable of playing in this one. They were skating all night and that is what they have to do because that is how they've been built. Lost too many puck battles and still defend the net front poorly but a solid effort for 60. Pity we can't find a way to get more games to the shootout because the type of players we have are definitely favored in that skills competition. Just a shame we don't bring this effort every night. All he had to do was lift the Cap’s player’s stick or tie him up…..and he did neither Patience. Rome wasn't built in a day. It takes time to develop as a defenseman. Year 5 he'll learn how to stick lift. Year 6, body checking. How are the Caps 1st place in the Eastern Conference? They don't look impressive at all. 1 Quote

Samuelsson looked GREAT when he watched Wilson park in front of the net next to him, looked over at him, and did nothing other than watch him score a rebound goal. 2 Quote
