Stoner Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 Great hockey names. If either ends up on the big team, this is an A+ trade. Haven't looked at pics yet, which is the second most important consideration in any Sabres trade. 1 Quote

Weave Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 On a more serious note, does anyone have any scoop on these two? Is this an upgrade to the Amerks roster for the playoffs? Quote

Bennett - a seasoned veteran but he can still bring it. 1 1 1 Quote

Not an upgrade, they’re ECHL players and will probably play in Jacksonville. The Amerks have a lot of defensemen, perhaps Poolman asked for a trade to get more playing time. 1 Quote

Is this an upgrade to the Amerks roster for the playoffs? It still seems to me something gotta give with these trades. Even tonight, Amerks sat Neuchev who has played so Kisakov can finally play and he had a 3 point night. Nadeau never plays but i dont think Leone rates him. But this is also without Helenius and Walhberg who will return to the team in a few days. MacAthur is a speedy winger. Tampa Bay always brings in one of those late round picks/non drafted guys to camp from the Quebec league who was a high end scorer. This one just happened not to turn out. Jagger is not a ECHL player. He was a good college player, just happened to play on a very bad team (Michigan State, they've since gotten back on track), last season played 63 games in the AHL. He's basically Beck Malenstyn. Who was a major part of the Hershey Bears Cup run. I imagine they're gonna want to play this guy. 1 Quote
