Sabres Post game ends on MSG and next show up is the Sean McDermott show.......opens with Jets post game speech by the Coach.

There couldn't be a more contrasting segue to the sad sack Sabres Post-game show. 🤣

Embarrassed to be a Sabres fan....

So it will be different than the last game against the Avs when they blew the lead? Must not have learned much from that game.

Been waiting a long time for this group of players to figure out how to play the right way.  Maybe the answer is that they're just a bad mix.

I just thought it was impressive we went up on them again and it showed something to me.  Then it happened again.  I just can't ignore that there it's a positive thing they were winning late, again.

Hired by a criminally incompetent NHL owner. I have no faith that Adams or anyone else will be fired or moved. I am clinging to the flickering hope that Pegula sells this team to someone who actually gives a sh*t about it and wants to see it succeed in Buffalo. He has destroyed a once proud franchise and disrespected its long-suffering fans. This has gone on for far too long. Do the right thing, Terry.

I had belief at the beginning of the season and bought tickets to see them at Anaheim (a happy night) and again at Vegas this weekend.

Since Anaheim, they have really destroyed my belief that they are moving in a good direction.  The NHL no trade clauses make improvements WAY too hard for teams at the bottom.  The rich get richer and the poor stay in their place.

Saturday may very well be my last Sabres game until Pegula is gone.  It's his toy to play with, but he behaves as though the Sabres are the penguin forgotten on the top shelf (no, not the one where momma hides the cookies).

Such a disappointment.

They are so so close…it is right there for the taking.  I can picture the parade in my head.

Did I say we're ready to win the cup?

I was at the game tonight because of free tickets. Good seats. It was of course an exciting game and the energy in the building (18k sellout, no empty seats on a Thursday for a non-conference opponent) was intense. I was sitting next to another long time Sabres fan and we were telling our wives and some nearby Avs fans how the game would go once they got up 2 goals. We predicted they'd have a 2-goal lead in the 3rd and the Avs would tie it late and win early in the OT. As it played out people kept looking at us in increasing amazement. We just smiled in silent resignation.

As the game hit the last few minutes the pucker-factor on the Sabres was evident in their faces and their passive play. This is the most sorry-ass, gutless bunch of losers I've ever seen in Buffalo sports over the past 4+ decades. I haven't watched more than a few minutes on TV the past 10 games or so and don't plan on watching any more than that the rest of the season.

This is where I’m at.

I've never been in this place with any of my teams ever.  I feel completely disconnected, disgusted, angry, embarrassed, and dejected.

Nothing they do short of making the playoffs means a f…ing thing to me for these next 40 some games.

KA needs to be canned and his replacement has to be chosen by an actual Team President that can get the freaking 90 percent of the league that seems to have “cannot trade me to Hockey Siberia” in their contracts to come here.

That or we actually hit in the draft when we pick in the top 3 and it works out.

How in the heck has Rasmus Dahlin not been in a playoff game yet???  How elite are you if that hasn’t happened after 7 seasons in the league???

Even bad teams don’t blow leads the way we do. We’re weak. And bad

The Whalers had as depressing an existence as it gets but until that fat pig Karmanos officially pulled the plug they were never as depressing and hopeless as this stinking pathetic shower of ***** franchise. The Whalers death causes me pain to this very day, there is not a day that goes by where I don't think about how much I loved them and how I would give anything to have them back. If the Sabres went away I wouldn't have that feeling of sadness, it would be the feeling of relief of seeing a loved one dying of some horrible disease finally being out of their misery and their suffering over.

I grew up right there and always caught the Sabres when they came to town. Occasional non-Sabres games. Was always a Sabres fan though, not the Whalers. Were you Whalers first, then Sabres?

Also, how did you feel about the Carolina cup if so.

a couple veterans would help in moments like that. They'd help settle the kids. Its not brain science but yet we treat it like it is

Those veterans would be blocking the kids, though.

Can’t be having that.

They blew a 3-0 lead, a 4-2 lead and a 5-3 lead. I don't think they "came close" is something to cheer about.

Was always a Whalers fan. Adopted the Sabres after they were murdered because they were the only Adams Division team I didn't hate (Hated the Habs and HATED the ***** Teddy Bear Scum). My wildest dream would be dragging Karmanos to the steps of the Civic Center and choking him until the ***** came pouring out of his nostrils while the entire city of Hartford wildly celebrated (and Governor Convicted Felon would be next).

Kulich falling asleep on the 3rd Colorado goal, they just keep making the same mistakes. They get off to early leads and then one by one, shift by shift, guys start to take a couple of shifts off. Kulich has been playing good, but he needed to do better on Colton. But this happens every game, and not just by 1 or 2 guys, its half of the team. All those mistakes add up and thats how the Sabres get pounded after they have first period leads.

Another embarrassing loss.  I have no idea how anyone keeps their jobs including most of the players.  Why sign guys who kill penalties if they aren’t going to play in short handed situations?

Also another example of a team that can’t play defense, especially the guys who are called defensemen.

Damn dude I’m sorry about your Whalers. It was cool to have an NHL team. Could just jump on the highway and be watching them in like 25-30 min.

Loved the brass bonanza song they played when they scored. Miss that team.

They blew a 5-3 lead with less than four minutes remaining in the third period.

Cruel criminal animal abusers will procure weaker dogs for their fighting dogs to learn to attack and kill.  That's a horrible thing of course, but it's exactly the role the Sabres play for the 2/3 of the teams in the league that give a damn.  We are there to make them feel better.

If you look at the stats, Cozens was 15 of 22.

Malenstyn and Tuch played too many ineffective late minutes.

Agree. Tuch was a spectator in the slot on the tying goal with 6 seconds left and nowhere near the shooter.

Fact is, we lack clutch players. Guys who refuse to lose. Av’s embarrassed us with their intensity and determination to win.

This season is lost, frankly. Adams has to act or we risk 15 years missing the playoffs next year.

Is there, really? Anyone who could be consider a “veteran” has, at a minimum, a modified NTC.

This a false narrative that Adams and Pegula have pushed to explain away their incompetence.

Also, winning fixing all of this and Pegula is not committed to winning. Pegula is like most billionaires where flattery, ego, and prestige all play a role. In Terry’s case, he has a team in a much more prestigious league, with a superstar QB, and a chance at a natty. So he can either hangout in loser Sabreland or can get his back slapped and the "that a boy!" From all the ppl in NFL circles.

Further since his NHL team sucks, he doesn't want real leaders in charge because he believes he's the smartest guy in the room, he wants to still get patted on the back, and he wants them to assuage his fears by using the excuses of young team, ntc, and literally any other excuse because deep down Terry is a scared little kid.
