Positivity what? Β You just don’t ever seem to get it. Β Your are odd ball poster, but have a Happy New Year anyway.Β

You literally just posted that they played a good game in a response above and that we're just not on Dallas' level.Β  I said almost the exact same thing.

Β

So I get it, you just don't care for me and make up reasons to jump in.Β Even if we nearly are saying the same thing.

I'm probably just heated also, wasn't meaning to jump on you for trying to shed some positives.Β

You can be as positive as you want, none of us care. Β Its fans Like you that Pegula and Adams love because they can ice an inferior team every season and you will be Β positive about it.Β

Happy New Year. It’s groundhogs day

Adams like his team young because he can keep telling fans that they will develop into better players and Sabres fan will buy it

You damn right I’m frustrated and jaded with losing. It’s only been 14 years. The last few years we’re told that this is the year, then it isn’t. I’m frustrated of being the youngest team in the league. I’m frustrated everyone using that excuse of why the Sabres have lost for 14 years. I won’t be frustrated until they actually win which will not going to happen much.Β

I guess the difference between you and I is that I don't have to tie in this loss or each loss with the past 14 years.Β  It's not relevant, productive, objective and it's probably unhealthy to a degree.

UPL played absolutely fantastic tonight.Β  You don't think so?

UPL played great.Β  He's developing into an upper tier goalie.Β  He is fun to watch.Β  The Sabres hit tonight, and blocked a number of shots.Β  Very encouraging.

On the other hand they were dominated in the faceoff circle, managed only 5 shots in the third and gave up too many high danger opportunities, some due to mind-numbing give-aways.Β  They were owned with the extra attacker and continued to over-pass the puck, a maddening deficiency that this core of players has not been able to address for the last 5 years, despite being told by their veteren coach, the GM, and Rob Ray that they need to simplify their game.

They are 3 games away from the season mid-point and are in last place in the conference and are on pace for 69 points this season.Β  It's been over two seasons since they've won 4 games in the row.

I'm not a miserable person.Β  I don't enjoy the Sabres losing.Β  I desperately want the city of Buffalo to experience playoff hockey again, but I have to honestly and sadly say that the positives this team offers are vastly outweighed by the negatives.

Anyway, Happy New Year.

It’s the same thing year after year. You just can’t see it through those rose colored glasses. That’s fine, eventually those glasses will fade and you’ll see their true colors. May it will be when the hit 15, 16, Β or even the 17th season in the bottom half of the league and no playoffs. Β It will happen eventually. We all have gone through it.Β

And they give up yet another empty net goal! Β That is the 11th they’ve given up but, despite what I suspected, that is not the most as Colorado has given up 15.

It just seemed that in every one goal game the Sabres have played lately, they’ve given one up and lose by 2.

I just saw some things I liked tonight.Β  That's it.Β  From what we've been through at goaltending, to what we saw tonight.Β  Damn, that's something.

Then people start jumping on me as they do.

I decided I'm going to defend myself and snark back a little.

I've been married 25 years this summer.Β  I have 20 and 18 year old boys.Β  Both in college that we're paying for.Β  I turned 50 this year.

Son, there isn't anything the Sabres can do that I can't endure.Β  Try and be a bit mentally stronger.

Bahahahaha, a youngin’. I have four children all older than yours, I’m older than you and have been married about the same time.Β
Β

son, I’m not sure what any of that has to do with the Sabres sucking for 14 years.Β

I have no complaints about the effort tonight, or most nights for that matter. What I have a grievance with is how poorly this team is, once again, constructed. We lose so many puck battles it's absurd. We are terrible against the boards. For a team supposedly built around skill, we are a terrible passing team. Our entire offense is disjointed and sloppy, so most nights it feels like we spend 80% of the game in our own zone chasing the puck around. Our forecheck is either non-existent or weak most nights.

KA has bungled this rebuild badly. I'm not saying we need to blow everything up. There are good pieces here, but we need somebody to ID which pieces stay and then get different pieces to compliment them. 3 wins was nice, but it didn't erase the enormous warts we saw during that long skid or for most of the last two seasons.

It feels like we're running in mud right now. What we need to be using the rest of the season to do is to ID who are really the "core" pieces to move forward with and who is expendable/redundant. But KA absolutely cannot be the guy making those calls...yet we're stuck with him until after the season. If they even move on then. Very frustrating.

I thought it was a pretty good game. Interesting that we never got a power play, but then again, they weren’t really calling anything. I can’t really say I saw anything that blatant enough to be called.

Rasmus’ save was awesome. Too bad he gave it back on the third goal, by being lazy and not even touching the goal scorer. I don’t understand how a defender in the NHL thinks it’s okay to just float there whenΒ a guy is right in front of the net.

I haven’t given up on Cozens yet but he is frustrating to watch sometimes.

It’s this attitude that allows 3 years of losing to turn into 5, to 7, to 9, to 11, to 13 … Β

Do you get it yet? Β Β

Do you only come here to feel better about yourself by criticizing others? It’s tiresome.

You are not young. Β You are 50. Yet, you don’t understand urgency. Β Not even a sense of it. Β I understand you now. Β

I love you.Β  However it's simple.Β  If I get attacked, I'm going to respond.Β  On the flip side, your repetitive dislike for anything positive is equally tiring to me.Β Β

Doubt it. There are 4 close to historically bad teams in the west alone and you know we will win enough meaningless games to get into the 7-8-9 range.

This is literally the most hopeless team in all of pro sports.Β

Nope, you're still missing it.Β  I've got to tell you, you aren't the best at understanding very elementary concepts.

If you put a flight attendant in charge of air traffic control what do you think the result would be?

That's what making Adams GM was, and the results have been exactly what should've been expected.
