What do we think happens with this team after the holidays

Interested in people view here... Do we start winning and stay the course, wait till the offseason for changes, clean out FO now, start trading players now?... My guess is that we continue on this path and see how it plays out, ultimate they will need to make a change in the offseason, not sure absent another long losing streak TP pulls that trigger in season.

The other night was fun, but all of the issues that were very evident over the previous 14 games haven't magically been fixed. Dahlin returning surely will help and I don't think they're as bad as they played during that extended skid, but this is still a poorly constructed roster with large-scaled underachievement going on. 

I think they more than likely play around .500 or so hockey the rest of the way and don't do much to fix things during the season. Maybe a small move or two at the deadline. That may be for the best, because I do think when the season ends they're going to have to move on from Adams (and maybe Lindy, too) and I don't want him making any major roster decisions anyway.

I am kinda with you i do think that this losing streak was a bit of an aberration to be repeated maybe a small move enough improvement to pull back the pitchforks but ultimately if change is coming it will be the off season or at minimum after the Bills are done or trade deadline

I don’t think they do anything. Even if they end up with a top three pick, the model is set and no changes will come.

I think there should be a 5th option of “they continue losing and stick to the plan”.  It is what I think will happen. They won’t lose 13 in a row again, but they will continue to lose more than they win. Also, Adams will keep his job and there will be no indication he has any willingness to move off of his under 24 group of players.  We will be San Jose if San Jose had Dahlin and a GM saying they are in win now mode.

Well my personal opinion isn't losing at the same rate, more 'treading water' around .500......but yeah, that would be my opinion....close to .500 hockey and minimal changes.

The garbage time wins will be coming soon.  They aren’t making a run but there will be enough wins for KA to lament the streak and say they are turning things around.

We only lose 3 more games in regulation. 

We go into the playoffs on a tear, Josh Allen is at the game and he beats the drum so loud that he shatters the skin on it. Meanwhile Hailee S gets into a drawn out cat fight with T Swift during the party in the Plaza, ripping her hair out causing Kelce and Gronk to show up and go all G+G fitness on the crowd. 

Terry is there getting a nice massage with palm oil (see what I did there) from KA while Karmanos films his technique, Terry doesn't have to pay for the ssage so it keeps his EEE lifestyle afloat. 

Rob Ray shows up out of nowhere babbling, wearing a diaper and rocking an unplugged microphone as orderlies from the Buff psych center attempt to chase him down, not far behind, Tie Domi is shooting paintballs at the "one flew over a cukoo nest" razor. 

Golisano flies back in and is on top of the roof of the arena just sprinkling white granted sugar all over the crowd while sabertooth is shooting white t shirts with the word "Paychex" on the front. 

Mark my words, all of this will happen after the holidays.

Ya, I don't see anything big happening. Eventually maybe we see if they promote Ruff or show him the door unceremoniously (I suspect it'll be the door) and Adams will unload a couple deadline bodies but really, nothing different and I suspect on average they play a little under .500 and we pick around 8th.

That's really what 3 meant... they believe they are on the right course and do nothing i just re read it totally not clear closed the poll

They make a glorious run to mediocrity, but obviously still miss the playoffs.  No major changes are made until the end of season

No changes. The owner's speech in Montreal wasn't falsehood. It's EEE and the belief is in the core... when they're a couple years older.

 

That said, it'll be more of the same. Streaky with wins and undoing any good streak with a run of losses.

If JJP-Cozens-Quinn produces, they'll be just over DeLuca .500 which is wild card-level over an entire season (but given a 13-game losing streak will leave them shy of 90 points). But, most likely they'll go through another cold spell in a couple months, or get derailed by another injury, etc., before selling at the deadline.

Nah, they’re committed to their “we’re smarter and more efficient than everyone else” plan, which will have the effect of sinking the ship permanently. Not quite as nefarious but the same result.

Don’t know why the poll is already closed, but the answer is obvious. They will go on a tear. Play 0.600 hockey and in the end, will miss the playoffs by 1-2 games. KA will say it was a learning year for Lindy and the team is well on their way.
