I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team collapse so quickly and so completely.

I’m glad I’ve stopped watching.   

I’m not sure what is worse, the Sabres or the 1st rd of the college CFP.

They could have won that game. Bruins were bad, as I thought they might be in this obvious trap scenario, so with a little effort and spunk it was there for the taking, but they were anemic as usual. Bruins didn't have to do much to win it. 

Really bad hockey game all around.

It definitely looks that way doesn't it?

I watched the Ottawa Vancouver game after and Senators were scrapping, blocking shots, diving for loose pucks, puck battles on both sides, net front on both sides, enthusiasm and energy all around. Ottawa being everything we hoped we would be this year.

Yep. Not every move Sens management has made has worked, but they make an obvious attempt not just to make slight upgrades on the edges of the roster but to support t their young players by addressing critical needs (see goaltending). Adams is content to upgrade the 4th line.

Maybe in these 1 goal deficits play 5 on 5 right to the end.  these guys don’t have success doing the 6 on 5 thing and it’s just a gift goal for the opponents all the time.

Yup. Lots of mistakes over the years in Ottawa but they were never content to stand pat and wait. They have a better balanced roster and better leadership than the Sabres, not more talent. Ullmark's actually a leader as well and he's getting quite popular there. Ullmark in the list of Adams' mistakes.

Terry Pegula you are a terrible owner. Talking hockey here you somehow fluked into an incredible situation in football but as a hockey owner you suck so bad. Its really incredible how bad you treat Buffalo hockey fans and lovers of good hockey everywhere. Its a diservice to the game. Its almost criminal what you have done to this once proud franchise.

It bugs me that Ruff's post game comment was "we deserved better". NO, no you didn't. You deserved exactly what you got. That comment tells me he is no longer a solution, he's become infected and needs to be added to the cull.

Ruffs record with this team is 11-19-4.  That is a winning percentage of 38.  RFK (callback for Stoner) had a record of 36-49-12 when fired.  If you want to include last season with the Devils, Ruffs last ~90 games is 41-49-8.  Not much better than Krueger.  Who is by most, the poster child of unqualified coaches during this horrific 14 year nightmare.  The fact that Ruff is approaching a Krueger like winless streak and has a similar winning percentage does not bode well for his installment as the agent of change for this team.  It’s definitely looking like another bad decision in a long line of bad decisions for Adams.

Yes, but I put a lot of it on having the same management and the same assistant coaches. Ruff wasn't given a chance to completely overhaul it. He has been expected to work with the whole thing already in place. Do you really think Ellis and the rest of them suddenly changed and demand anything different?

Problem is if they fire Ruff, it'll just be interim Appert. You know that's the plan.
