What if we made the 12 days of Christmas into a drought song? We may have done this before but why not? I don't have something for all years but feel free to add:

(2014) In the 3rd year of the drought, Pegula gave to us: an Ugly Turdburger Jersey

(2015) In the 4th year of the drought, Pegula gave to us: Tanking for Eichel

(2016) In the 5th year of the drought, Pegula gave to us: John Scott ALL STAR MVP

(2017) In the 6th year of the drought, Pegula gave to us: 

(2018) In the 7th year of the drought, Pegula gave to us:

(2019) In the 8th year of the drought, Pegula gave to us: an utter and total collapse

(2020) In the 10th year of the drought, Pegula gave to us: maintaining his lifestyle

(2021) In the 11th year of the drought, Pegula gave to us: Barf Krueger being fired

(2022) In the 12th year of the drought, Pegula gave to us: Missing playoffs by 1 point

only issue with that is it makes it sound like Krueger was canned 11 times and he has 10 yachts (he might)

I wear it with pride. Was especially handy for the @Columbus game early this year that was a harbinger of things to come. Wow did the Sabres look bad.

Plus side was that the tickets for the defacto Jackets home opener (first home game was the Gaudreau memorial) were $30 for 100s. Also got to hear the cannon boom several times.

-Gave vote of confidence to Botterill and then fired him when he wouldn't fire a large portion of the staff during a global pandemic so they could maintain their lifestyle
-When they went to rehire for those positions they made everyone that held them before reinterview
-Hired a yes man that has no front office experience.
-Wanted them to sign Cody Eakin
-Wanted them to sign Taylor Hall
-Had a rule against drafting Russians
-Has only been in the top half of the league in spending 2 times in the last 14 years
-Did not allow them to take money on in trades or weaponize cap space
-Wanted ROR moved before paying his bonus. Thus handicapping any trade return we would receive
-The entire Eichel mess
-Wanted to sign Leino 
-Wanted the longer Skinner extension
-Kept Girgensons on the team forever
-Hired LaFontaine who he hired because he saw at dinner, who quit, and never replaced that role
-No President of Hockey Ops
-Made his wife, who was not qualified, president of both teams.
-Continued to show lack of spending with small scouting staff, small development staff, not firing assistants under contract so Ruff could hire his own
-Bought into the philosophy that an organization can compete on a shoe string budge
-Ehrhoff contract

I actually hadn't thought about that. Lucic running Miller was the first year of the drought. He really did break this hockey team.
