In The Buff Posted Wednesday at 02:47 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:47 AM They're a desperate team, that played with no desperation. They got their arses kicked, by one of the worst teams in the league. Tonight they played like that team nobody knows the name of, that plays vs the Harlem Globetrotters when they come to town. They just exist to get smoked by the home team & give everyone an entertaining night out. Thats what it had to feel like in Montreal tonight. Like we're a bunch of clowns. Well Terry, i hope you enjoyed the show. Its all thanks to you! 1 3 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted Wednesday at 02:47 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:47 AM Well ladies and gentlemen that right there is what we call The Pegula Effect. Passenger of the night award was highly contested but I'm giving it to Owen Power. Goal 6 for Montreal was just a joke. Quote

kas23 Posted Wednesday at 02:47 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:47 AM I don’t think I would be upset if any player on this team was moved. Tage, Dahlin, whoever else. Wouldn’t matter and I would understand. 2 1 Quote

You can’t expect an entire team to grow up in the league. It’s a grown up league, not a developmental one. Half these guys should be maturing in the AHL. I think this is the problem with this franchises 'rebuild plan' over the last 13+ years. They believe the only way to build the team is through drafting and developing prospects who will all some day just click and become an NHL Dynasty that will win together for years. They seem to hate the idea of bringing in good/great players (whether it be through FA or trade) because it might mean blocking a young prospect who may need to spend some extra time in the minors and really earn their spot on the team. Or also realising that Good/Great players and prospects can also be used as trade chips to obtain other good/great players or prospects at other positions of need. Instead they force prospects up to early hurting their development, and bring in only washed up Vets or guys looking for a one year deal to rebuild their image so they can move on after. This franchise needs to stop looking long term, and look to rebuild short term to rebuild its image and get back to being atleast a playoff team that can work on becoming a Cup contender. Fans were spoiled in the Dary/ruff era that they seemed to get to the point where they thought regularly winning and being in the playoffs isn't a good thing and that it was necessary to throw everything away and start from scratch to get a Cup team 1 Quote

Stads Posted Wednesday at 02:50 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:50 AM 22 pages for a GDT when it's this bad says a lot. Thank you all for being here through this misery. It's makes it easier watching this crap with this community. I am sarcastic as hell, but I truly mean that. I cannot wait for this board IF this turns around in the next few years. Either way, it'll be a hell of a ride 2 1 Quote

And Tage, same thing when he's healthy he's an elite goal scorer, a guy that scores at a 40-50 goal pace. He's not a complete player I know that, but whenever I listen to out of town broadcasts or radio shows, I like having a guy on my team that people from other cities kinda fear. But yeah, something has to change. The message Pegula gave yesterday is could not be any worse if someone wrote a script than what this fan base needs to hear. mjd1001 Posted Wednesday at 02:54 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:54 AM Sabres vs Toronto on Friday, followed by Sabres vs Bruins on Saturday. When the Schedule came out, many of us would circle that weekend and say "THOSE 2 days in a row are what I'm looking forward to!" Now....ehhhhh...maybe not. Quote

Can't disagree with you there because I would one up that and have the team walk behind the bus for the entire trip home. Would it help them get out of the slup? Probably not, but I would feel good about watching it! Better yet, If I was Lindy, before letting any of the players leave the bench after this game, I throw all the equipment, and have the equipment staff take all their stuff out of the dresing rooms and either throw it on the ice or in the parking lot and teel them they don't deserve a lockerroom to get changed in.... Being forced to get changed on the ice or in the streets would be less embarrassing then their play.... Edited Wednesday at 02:59 AM by apuszczalowski 1 Quote

Oh I had the game on, but was busy screaming at Walmarts online customer support as I had just purchased a PS5 for my great nephew and they sent the confirm email, only to send an order canceled email 2 minutes later while putting a 10 day hold on 517 dollars I just spent a week before Christmas......and they couldn't tell me why, the product is in stock, the account has the funds. Pissed? Ya, I'm pissed...... 1 Quote

With him they are a middle of the pack team, maybe even good enough to get a wild card spot without him, they are the leagues worst club 1 Quote

Orders lost in transit. Deliveries days later than scheduled. Orders placed at night before bed, but next morning I get the email that it was canceled. All that has happened to me in the past 3 weeks. Orders scheduled to be shipped on one date, only to be delayed almost a full week. For me 'online shopping' this holiday season has been worse than even through the pandemic years. Edited Wednesday at 02:59 AM by mjd1001 1 Quote
rickshaw Posted Wednesday at 02:59 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:59 AM Thank goodness I’m at a wellness hotel in Vernon BC as I just peaked to see the score. I’m too relaxed to care about this loss. But glad they came out ready lol Quote
Slack_in_MA Posted Wednesday at 03:00 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:00 AM Terry, it’s clear you don’t know how to own and operate an NHL franchise, but for the sake of us Bills fans, we’re begging you… please don’t f*ck up the Bills. Please? Thanks. 1 1 Quote

During the Pandemic Years, the price of building materials went through the roof around here and of course earlier in the year I planned on building an addition to my deck which i went ahead with that summer. I would place an online order for Lumber and deck boards one night only to get an email the next morning canceling my order. This year is definetly worse in Canada, Our Postal Workers went on strike in mid/late November and were just forced to go back to work this week where they said the backlog of mail could take into the middle of January to clear up.... I did learn a lesson with one store here in Canada (Canadian Tire), if they tell you at the customer service desk, or you see online it says they have 1 available, it actually means they have none available......... mjd1001 Posted Wednesday at 03:07 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:07 AM (edited) Tuch, Tage, and Cozens all have letters. Tuch seems to be one of the interviews after every game on TV, i'll give him a little credit for that. Why is it that it seems Tage and Cozens hardly ever do any interviews, at least televised ones, after the bad games? I swear I've seen Clifton do more tough interviews after bad games than Cozens and Tage. Edited Wednesday at 03:11 AM by mjd1001 Quote
Nitro60 Posted Wednesday at 03:09 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:09 AM This is all on the players. Play with no heart, passion or intelligence. Change the coach or GM will do nothing. The talent to win is there but not the willingness to do what is needed to win. Start the process of ridding guys who are not buying into the program. I have been a fan since day one but this is the worse "team" I haave witnessed. No magic wand will get this to change. Sigh. 2 Quote
