Nothing is ever gonna change while Terry owns the team

the team should be boycotted until he sells but there are still too many fans who aren't prepared to do that and that's their  prerogative.   So we are stuck

in 55 and seriously considering finding a new team to cheer for - 50 years with this organization is enough

any suggestions for a new team

I personally like Columbus. No expectations, no where to go but up (where the Sabres SHOULD be)  I can view/be part of a rebuild but have it done by someone else, not this team.

Plus I was at their Arena 2 times and I love the Arena and the district around it. Its not the nicest, but something about it just 'felt comfortable'.

I think I may be the ONLY one who is rooting for Columbus though outside of Ohio.

Another massive flaw in Kevin’s master plan is you can say that you are going to endure some rough stretches and tough years as the young guys mature into what you think they can be, but they might not become that if they are absolutely destroyed mentally before you even get close to seeing your plan come to fruition.

Buying time until Levi arrives is a strategy fraught with potential perils.

“Buying time” presents a multitude of issues, up to and including potential disenfranchisement of players, fans.

“Until” presents issues, as well. Willingly “waiting” a matter of *years* on someone who is not close to a guaranteed difference maker at the NHL level is... dicey, to say the least. Not to mention, what you are afraid of w/ handing out term right now (under the prism of a trusted talent evaluation) is Levi having competition. I’m not sure when “not blocking” (ie counting chickens) took precedence over healthy competition, but it’s beginning to trend towards the “weird”. Ie, perhaps there’s another motive.

If we don’t sign a good goalie here, it should be (and I hope it’s) because, in Adams’ estimation, there wasn’t anyone worth paying for, full stop. If a good goalie (again, through the context of KA’s talent eval.) can be had, for term, it’s not something we should be turning down (even at a slight overpay owing to our cap space and multitude of picks) due to the prioritization of a “maybe” down the line.

What we’ve created is a Disenfranchisement Factory for our players. We tie them in to these ridiculous long-form, long-haul, “WAAHNT to be here!1!” endeavours doomed to failure because you alienate the players before any real success is ever achieved

It’s a conflict of interest: nhl PLAYER careers are short

players want to win and make money. We always just give them the money.

They are going to have to do something

Doubt it.

Pegula boxed himself in with his reported vote of confidence

It’s up to limp wristed Adams to shake the bottle.

There will be no fizz.

I adopted the Panthers years ago since they are local and the Sabres were about 8-9 years into the drought. Got a real treat to go to see live playoff games last season with my sons.

Brandon Beane could do a better job year one I think. Maybe I’m talking crazy, but I trust his ability to vet players over anyone involved w the Sabres rn.

The only thing Terry hasn't done is a hire a GM with experience.  It's the last straw he can grasp.
If that again fails , he needs to turn the gun on himself (figuratively of course )

I am a person that does not think this is on Lindy.  But, for the sake of argument, let’s say he is let go. Who would actually WANT to take the job coaching this team?  Take the job coaching the Sabres under Pegula and it sets your career back years.

Todd Nelson would take it. Todd Reirden maybe. Trying to think of a third Todd.

Honestly same. Literally NEVER could get close to adopting a ‘second team’ but this franchise just ruined hockey for me almost. I enjoy watching the Panthers. Before this I never watched a non-Bills or non-Sabres team

GMKA will probably forget to screw the cap on first.
