The team is playing considerably worse than they were 2 weeks ago, a month ago, for most of the previous part of the season.

Just how much of it can be Dahlin not playing? If that isn't it, it has to be SOMETHING.

It is something they have quit and would rather get cut traded or do anything to get out of this hel/ hole i am sure they are dreading coming home to consistent boos at least they are making the opposing teams fans happy on the road

Montreal needs one more. 6-1 loss is bad, but something about the number "7" as far as goals allowed just sounds SOOO much more embarassing than allowing 6.

That's how many we allowed to them last game

I feel like 8 to 10 would be epic

I feel an angry Adams PC coming. He is practicing his angry face in the mirror.

“I’m pissed off! I’m angry! Our fearless leader flew in and gave an amazing speech and our players didn’t respond. The onus is in that room. We are not firing or trading anyone and it has nothing to do with Terry not wanting to spend any money. Absolutely not!!!”

Adam’s will be scarce

My view is that when we see the videos of the 'war rooms' on draft day or trade deadline day, decisions in this organiation are made by the collective, not individually. Adams says that. Pegula says that.  That doesn't change unless Pegula wants it to or allows it to, in my opinion.

I’m not saying there are strong disagreements, but they aren’t showing you the video of the assistant GM saying he would do something differently. It’s just never the case that a group of people in such an environment are entirely monolithic in their thinking. Further, such a change could be done on an interim basis.

As for the Pegula factor, that’s a big concern to be sure. It could be that it won’t be any better with any GM. But we are about to lose our 11th in a row. In Adams 5th year as GM we are last in the Conference 32 games into the season. It could not be more dire. How could handing the reigns to Karmanos for 4 months make things worse?

Appert still in charge of the PP.

Apparently Ruff is okay with it.

Because he is internal to this epic cesspool he is part of the problem

Maybe not worse, but not a permanent hire for Karmanos or any of the current guys.  If you named him your permanent GM, you miss an opportunity for a full housecleaning, an opportunity to bring a fresh set of eyes in from outside the organization and have HIM pick the guys he takes advice from.

This team needs changes. Maybe a lof of them. Adams, or Karmanos, or anyone in the room now, do you want ANY Of those guys making big moves?

Lindy will probably age 10 years tonight (unfortunately).  Appert may have to take over because of Lindy’s old age

So Pegula Flys in to talk to the team... gives a vote of confidence to the abject buffoons running the FO. Tells them they have his confidence and the answer is in the room... their response is an absolute beat down from the "former" worst team in the conference.... i think we have our answer ... they have given up on this entire organization and are begging for a change or to be moved out of this hell hole.... where is Idemo?

Ok. I’m certainly not trying to lead the Jason Karmanos fan club or anything. I’m fine with bringing someone from outside in. But if you would rather continue with Adams than give Karmanos a shot, that’s cool.

Which means they are working together and can’t fix it.

So lets see. You are a desperate team.

You are playing the worst team in the conference.

That team is one of the worst defensive teams in the league.

You get 4 powerplays.

You have a partial 5 on 3 powerplay.

And it is more than half way through the third and with all of that, you still don't have even 20 shots on net.

That's a really good question i mean literally I would be ok with using Athlon sports magazine mock drafts to pick over adams. But quite honestly I am hoping for more i fear Karamonos would just perpetuate the same pathetic culture we have seen for 14 years only we will have to wait another 3 years for him to get fired and begin the rebuild 17 years out of the playoffs but in a vacuum I would take a dying sheep over Adams

Where is the pride?

Where is the heart?

Where is the anger with their dismal performance again this evening?

I don't think I can blame Ruff for giving them a day off before the game. Sometimes that can be what struggling teams need instead of grinding them through another practice. For a lot of teams and players, long losing streaks or personal slumps can be fixed by just taking ti easy and relaxing because you start putting too much pressure on yourself/selves to break out. Unfortunately in hindsight, this was not looking good for them because it didn't help a single bit. I'm sure the media getting wind of the Owner making his way to the arena to speak to the team, and then everyone finsing out it was to 'give them participation trouphies and pat them on the back for trying their best' didn't help either. But this should have been expected when Adams continued to be employed by coming out to the media during a losing streak and basically becoming even more of a laughing stock by just telling everyone "they tried to improve but its hard because 'Taxes and no palm Trees' in Buffalo". But a competent Owner would have also told the media in attendance at that point to hold on 5 minutes after the PC so he could make the announcement that Adams was being let go immediately and 'They do not wish him well in his future endeavours'

You mean, where would they be if their GM didn't target Josh and then make several trades to put the Bills in position to draft him, even though a large number of experts thought he was the wrong Josh?

Good point.
so maybe a GM with experience might help?

The part about Karmanos is my main point.

This is probably a pipe dream, but maybe Pegula told the team that to calm down any rumors and right now, this very day he is starting a search for a GM and will ask that GM to put together his entire hockey department. In a few days or a week, he'll announce the changes. No one stays. No chance of the same ideas, the same group-think from before because everyone will be new.

I know, that is probably not happening.
