Who's ready for a boycott?

how strong is your appetite for a boycott of all things Sabres?

would you cancel your season tickets? Stop going games? Stop watching the team all together 

I've stopped watching the games live over the last couple of weeks but I've scrolled through the replays.  Except for yesterday where I haven't even seen a highlite 

im more than willing to stop watching all together, will not spend $1 (even a cdn dollar) on them until drastic changes are made.  Forcing a sale of the franchise would be the #1 goal.

I could never fully "boycott" (i.e. never watch), but I've already missed more games this season than any in my memory. If I have something else going on, I make no real effort to tune in. That said, if I lived near Buffalo, I don't think I'd dump a couple hundred dollars into going to a game to watch a lousy, uninspired team. Given the attendance we've seen for a few years now seems like most fans are the same.

Take this to a logical extreme. No more tickets are sold this season. Tickets already sold go unused. Attendance is zero. No merch sales no concessions. As far as anyone can tell there are zero viewers and zero listeners. Brian Duff still cackles. What is the end result? What you and we want? If so work backwards and tell me at what point does the boycott fail.

If you don't like the product, then don't buy tickets. 

Be thankful they're still around, boo them if you must, but don't treacherously campaign for a boycott.

You were a vocal sell everyone and stockpile the team with youth supporter for many, many seasons.  This is what was sewn.  I think you should be forced to watch this crap.

I am reverting back to check the score on my phone and if a “good game”, watch the 3rd period if nothing better on TV. 
 

As fas as spending money on them…they haven’t seen a penny from me in at least 5 years.

I do not go to games anymore. I don't buy merchandise anymore. I haven't for a long time.  The last Sabres merch I bought was a discontinued Slug jersey with no name on it I picked up for about $15, that was about 10 years ago.

If I could get my hands on a good, reasonably priced Black and Red jersey with no name on the back....I'd consider it now. Not to support the team, but not to not support the team, just because I like it.

I still watch the games. Boycott doing that?  Not really. If they play bad enough and there is something better to do, then I'll skip the game for whatever that is.

But if a game is on and I'm not doing anything, I'll still watch.

Ya, I don't get how anybody still pays money to go see them. Whether I watch them or not has no financial impact since I just have sportsnet plus anyway regardless but I have shifted back to watching them on replay now not live. This has happened every year for the last few years. Usually not until the new year, but the hope this year faded fast. 

There is a part of me now that kind of wants them to go really bad this year so that Pegula has no choice but to fire Adams but then on the other hand I have faith he'd screw up the next hire too so ultimately it doesn't matter. Wish the on ice product was more entertaining though.

The primary goal would be to force Pegula to sell

let me ask you this.   How doubt you will answer but do you think adding Sam Reinhart and Jack Eichel to this team and subtracting Krebs and Tuch would make the Sabres a lot better right now ? 

I signed up for a rebuild around core pieces like Samson and Jack.  Not for mismanagement, not for a Mickey Mouse owner.
 

 I certainly didn't sign up for one of the richest men in the world treat the Sabres as a poverty franchise , as an after thought.

I've boycotted the team all year, I did not re-up my ESPN+ subscription and haven't watched a Sabres game all year.  I love hockey, but I refuse to support a team that doesn't have the heart, or the balls to play with any sense of urgency.  Give me a team of scrubs who at least plays hard horn to horn.

If you don't think this team is better with Eichel and Samson on it then Krebs and Tuch, I really can't help you 

the tank worked.  You would have 2 of the top 10 / 15 forwards in the world on your team and they messed it up.

Expanding on this….

Your argument is lost the moment you try to gauge success without considering whether the team wins.  You fall into the same trap the team has fallen into, not prioritizing winning over just about anything else.  
 

Like I said, you got what you asked for.  You should be enjoying it.

They certainly won't get any of my money and haven't for over a decade. Not until they prove to me that winning is the goal. I don't believe it is.

I'm not taking my son to a game this year.  He could care less at this point anyhow.  The problem is tickets start going dirt cheap and people buy them.  Can't fault them for that though.  I'm sure there are many fans who can't necessarily afford tickets unless they're at a low price point.  I'll rubberneck on tv but I'm not sitting through a whole game watching these ***** coast around like it's an open skate at Leisure Rinks.
