I'm not trying to be a dick but the direct flight part is laughable. Terry can direct flight to anywhere he wants. He isn't googling delta to see if the have direct flight, he's chartering a private jet if he doesn't own one and going.

I sat next to Terry on a JetBlue flight once. He watched Shrek and order pretzels.

Perhaps meeting a potential hockey exec outside of Buffalo?

I'm just gullible enough to believe this.  Unfortunately, I am the fool that Terry and his ilk loves.  Unwavering support for a franchise that has given me little reason to do so for a decade and a half.

He’s taking the team to Saint Joseph's Oratory to pray for a miracle.

I enjoyed my visit there.

I'm convinced Lindy is currently our only hope.

Same.

All that remains is the faces and the names of the moms and the dads and the grandmas...

C'mon. Spell it out for us. I struggle to maintain an accurate concept of the Sabrespace Aud Club cast of characters.

I presume this is a joke. But it's also spot on.

[FADE IN]

SCENE: INTERIOR, MONTREAL VISITORS LOCKER ROOM. TERRY STANDS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR, THE TEAM SURROUNDING IN VARIOUS STATES OF UNDRESS

TERRY: Hi guys. I'm not sure how to start, but I felt the need to, uh, come up here to see everyone. Lindy here, geeze, Lindy is my hero. I've been a fan of the Buffalo Sabres for a long time. Those teams, they [COUGHS], they worked hard. Excuse me. [SIPS AN ICE COLD SMARTWATER] I think it's imperative that every player on this team realize that the only way to recover from this slump is to work harder. Back when I was a young businessman, looking to make my first million, I...

[RAMBLES INCOHERENTLY FOR 10 MINUTES ABOUT SOMETHING NO ONE IN THE ROOM UNDERSTANDS OR RELATES TO]

TERRY, CONT: Anyway, thank you guys. I am here for you.

[TERRY TURNS AROUND AND HEADS FOR THE DOOR. HE PULLS ON THE DOOR FIRST, THEN REALIZES IT IS A PUSH DOOR, FINALLY EXITING THE ROOM]

[THE PLAYERS AND COACHES SIT IN CONFUSED SILENCE. IN THE BACKGROUND, HONKY TONK BADONKADONK BY TRACE ADKINS CREEPS THROUGH THE WALLS AS THE ARENA STAFF TESTS THE PA SYSTEM]

[FADE TO BLACK]

He further mentioned it’s a signal that change is coming or it’s a vote of confidence for current management.

Well yeah.  It's one or the other.  Very insightful, Elliotte.

The FO lost the fans, the fans lost the team, the locker room lost the fans.

There’s no coach to win that back because the fatal flaw is roster construction. Scotty Bowman wouldn’t get this roster to playoffs. It’s not a team, it’s a collection of players.

So then Adams has got to go?

You know, canceling practice for a team that has lost 10 in a row is going to help them...LOL

Well it doesn’t seem like practices was helping much now does it.

Adams should have been shown the door with 24 hours of that presser. 100% yes.

That presser is the breaking point for this regime without a doubt. Many fans took that presser as a man admitting he can't do his job, but it is not his fault, its the fault of their (home)town. A good GM would need a quality body of work and work to absorb his comments about nobody wanting to come to their city. Which Adams has neither. Fans reacted aggressively.

Here we go round and round again. Time to reset, and you can't do it with the guys who have been shirt on by management and fans, and the fans don't want to get behind anybody involved in an era that shirt on the place they live and/or are from.

He also mentioned the proposal of Petersson for Cozens and Byram but I'm a tad hesitant to get smaller and acquire a guy who has all but disappeared although he is a supreme talent.

Pettersson's production drop is baffling.....

But even with that and how much he is getting paid, his production is still a bit better than Cozens, and he seems to be infinately better away from the puck and almost as much better on the PP in terms of knowing what is going on around him.

Normally...I'd say nope to taking on that contract for that much money for that long.....but even if Pettersson's year long 'slump' continues, he does make this team better than having Cozens on it.

The question is...do they get someone else back with giving up Byram? Or do you fill one hole up front by upgrading, only to now have a different hole on the D-unit (I personally really like Bryams game this year)
