During this streak the Sabres have....

Lead in 7 of the 10 games by scoring first.  They have blown 2 or more goal leads in 3 of the 10 including tonight against the Leafs.  Of the 3 games with blown 2 or more goal leads, the Sabres lost 2 in regulation.

The Sabres have allowed 3 or more in 9 of the 10 losses including 6 games with 4 or more GA.  The team is 3/24 on the PP (a horrific 12.5%), and the PK is 20/27 (awful 74%).

Only against Van did they rally from more than a goal down to force OT.

The Sabres were generally outshot (6/10), out hit (7/10), and blocked less shots than the opponents (8/10) during this streak.  We also lost the faceoff battle in 6/10.

Ruff talks about doing the little things right in order to win.  Hard to win when the PP is inept, the PK is below average, the opposition controls the puck, physically dominates the Sabres and gets the majority of the scoring chances 5 on 5.

Yet nothing changes, 0 accountability like usual. Who is running our power play? Whoever it is should be demoted or fired (if it's Appert, demoted), why did we retain all of Granato's terrible coaches? They need to be let go and a brand new ideas implemented. Same with the penalty kill, why are we ok with this as an organization inept or not if I was the owner of this ***** show I would be demanding change.

Just a bunch of young talented guys playing against teams full of veteran, solid NHLers.  Looks like an AHL team playing NHL teams.

It will be awhile before they grow up.  The NHL draft (unlike the NFL draft) doesn't usually generate immediate solutions.   NHL games are won by experienced, big, tough vets.  Sabres are building that, but not there now thats for sure.

It's natural to think that. We've already passed the point where most teams would do something.

On Nov 19th the Bruins fired their elite-level head coach (who was immediately hired by another team) because they were struggling. On that date the Bruins were two points ahead of the Sabres (the Sabres had two games in hand). We were just happy to briefly be in the mix I guess.

They’re not building anything. They’re wearing out the patience of the two or three good players we do have.

Groundhog day.

It's strange, they are playing well, take the lead, looking good...and then! The other team starts to push back, and Sabres just die. They suddenly have nothing, the team that was flying all over the place is suddenly back on their heals and can't get any traction. How many games have been like this? They just can't push back. The end up chasing, the other team just does what it wants and we lose.

Last night they did push through it though and had three really good chances in third to tie but missed every one of them. Sigh

They will beat Montreal

This team doesn’t have the talent or experience to win regularly in the NHL. One of the most poorly constructed rosters I have ever seen. When I saw the team he fielded I thought we have little chance to be .500 let alone 92 plus points. Mindboggling bad decisions for years. You had talented guys who are winning cups immediately once they left. Total dysfunction in an unprecedented fashion. There is no quick way out either.

According to Paul Hamilton the head coach designs the power play, the assistant coach implements it. We can blame Appert but it's Lindy's job to decide who is on it and how it is designed.

A lot of things on this team are no better or worse under Lindy than they were under Granato. The good defense that Granato set up during the second half of last year is gone. The Power play is no better. The PK is about the same. No one knows who they are playing with from shift to shift. Who is playing better this year than they did when healthy under Granato? Not that I was totally against Granato getting replaced but the main thing that got him fired was the bad power play and somehow it seems worse than what it was. Talent wise the team is probably a bit better up and down the line up as last year so it's not like we can blame that on the regression. Injuries? Sure missing Dahlin has hut but Thompson, Tuch and Cozens were all playing hurt last year.

Maybe come January the team does a U turn like last year but I just don't see it coming. Instead of building upon what was working, the new coach comes in and starts over. Whatever happens this team goes nowhere until that power play gets fixed.

Not spending to the cap.

Losing two of our best offensive players and not replacing them (it doesn't matter what they're doing now, they helped us last year).

Quinn and Cozens taking a step backwards (a step backwards off a cliff).

Not having D that can play D.

Now we suck again.

The bar is higher there. They're still not happy and are talking trades. They start winning and maybe Swayman gets his mojo back it'll probably fizzle out but they have a winning expectation there and they spend right to the cap (if not over at times).

He addressed the team, he gave everyone a vote of confidence, they skipped practice again.

Really no need to practice not doing what the coach wants you to do, it comes naturally to most of them.

The video shows them at the rink.  So I assume Terry addressed them there. After the meeting they called off practice. I get that they just played a back to back, but a would a little work hurt a team on a 10 game losing streak?

He gave them a day off prior to the Rangers game and it took them 2 periods to wake up and compete.
