Should NHL goal cellies be more like NFL touchdown, uh, celebrations?

No. The simple reason is play stoppage. Orchestrating or encouraging celebrations would result in slower play and delays and it would spillover to celebrations for non-goals like the NFL. One inane part of the NFL is the celebration of a hard tackle after a four yard gain on first down. What, exactly, are you celebrating? But you can because you've got 20 seconds of downtime. In hockey the puck is still  in play. 

Bonus reason: the Sabres give up too many goals and I wouldn’t look forward to it. Give me the occasional glass hop, or he random Satan skeet shooting his glove for silliness.

But unless it’s a game winner or series-winner in OT, just huddle up and then fly by the bench. It works. Hockey is beautiful because of its speed. Next face off.  Let’s go.

I dont care if they do or dont tbh I just dont think it is in the history of the NHL to do it... and I think at least at first it would start a lot of fights lol... I think the Foligno leap was the most expansive celebration out side of Tie Domi riding his stick... but I do think he got challenged for that one..

Stop comparing the two sports. Different animals. Different sport culture. Different histories. Soooo many differences. Yet on SS we are inundated with comparisons and examples and coaching philosophies and management philosophies yada yada yada. Hey I’ve got an idea. Why don’t hockey players grow dreadlocks down to their asss. That would be swell.🤔

Watching theo Fleury go nuts after scoring off the Messier turnover or him riding the stick was so much fun, also whoever did the diving on their stomach, or what about Ovechkin when he would jump at the glass to trigger the crowd after his goals? Man I miss those, hockey is kind of dull to me right now I'm not going to lie. It's frowned upon to celebrate, frowned upon to fight and they call the NFL the no fun league?

I wish I saw my team celebrate way more often than they do however they want to do it.
