It's quite something when your team loses 6 straight and the Head Coach seems to be the only one a fair amount of fans believe in.  I love Lindy and hope this turns around for him.

But, I have barely any hope for this team making the playoffs

I will only be watching for a palm tree sighting. That being said, the camera operators have probably been told to avoid at all costs. 😂

I'll be eagerly listening for the chants on the away broadcast.

One more season, once more they've just lost their starboard engine.

Tells me they haven’t been in any hurry to get back.

Don’t see Greenway as a malingerer.

Perhaps Ruff had a Come To Jesus meeting Samuelson.

I don't believe that Samuelsson is a malingerer and less than eager to get back on the ice with his teammates. It's just that some players are simply more durable and have better luck staying healthy.  Samuelsson has stated that he put in a lot of work in the offseason so that he would be less injury prone. It hasn't worked out well for him.

It's good to see Greenway back. He's a solid player who doesn't get much attention, but he is a positive player for us.

Well Mr. @Brawndo thanks for posting this.  I have been saying this since the pre-season.  The centers are not good enough.   Thompson is really not a 1C and we don't have legit 2C.  Now Lindy is saying it in his way.

Lindy is talking about Thompson when he says he needs players to give him more at the end of the shift.  The center should normally be the first forward  back.  And yes, I was cautioned about the problems any new coach was going to have with our young Core group.  They have a lot to learn and they are on a crash course.

The challenge is going to be keeping the team up and mentally together until they get out of this funk.

Rangers have statistically dropped behind the Bruins (now in 7th) and NY is in 8th and the final playoff spot right now at a point percentage currently of .558.

As the Sabres stand, the get more than .558, to take away what is currently the 8th playoff spot in the east, Buffalo needs to win 6 in a row.

6 wins in a row from here would put them at .560. Providing the Bruins and/or Rangers do not gain any more ground and play above that level, 6 wins in a row will put the team back in the last playoff spot Saturday Morning, Dec 21 before a game with the Bruins.  Which if they lose to and don't win 7 in a row could put them back out of the playoff spot.

So, just win (preferably in regulation), over Detroit tonight. Then the Rangers. Then Washington. Then Toronto. Then Montreal (3rd game in 4 days). Then Toronto again. Then  probably Boston (to keep them behind you).  Do something as simple as that and yes, this team could be clinging to the last playoff spot as we approach the end of December.

They haven't dug themselves too big of a hole to climb out of, have they?

I just can't imagine any decent coach - especially one that has been to game 6 of the SC finals - being even remotely OK with the Utah game. The Sabres looked okay for the first 5-10 mins, then the wheels fell off and the car lit itself on fire. Hell, not even sure how he did not break everything in the locker room between second and third periods ... such a woofer of a game.

I've been debating in my head all about the outcome of this game, do they put it together and beat one of the few teams as bad as they are? But they usually lose these types of games, but they've also lost 6 in a row and something has to give.

Ultimately I hope they lose every game going forward, I don't give a ***** about draft position but they need to lose and lose and lose again until Adams is fired.

Agree with you.

Samuelson is a bust, imo.

Package him and get a reliable vet D who plays defense or F who can score.

Right now, Samuelsson doesn't have much trade value. I would rather see him back on the ice and producing. If he's basically a third pairing player, then so be it. Then you trade him if you can get a reasonable return.

That’s why I said to package him.

Adams has plenty of tradable prospects and will get another high 1st round pick next draft.

The sooner Adams acknowledges his mistakes and moves players to help this team, the better.

If he truly runs the show, now is the time to start.

Just my opinion.

I’m glad he called them out. It sucks that it took Lindy to do it.  In case any of the accountability truthers are out there.  This is what it looks like.  Embarrassing your best players in the media. Demoting them and benching them.

Nothing else has worked, so I say why not.  I hope the days of the country club are over and the players should be careful what they wish for…..”accountability” is now being served (I hope).

Yep.  Could see it coming miles away.  Surprised it took Ruff almost 30 games to get to this point.  It'll be interesting to see who on the roster survives this.

Worse is the players are most likely not doing it among themselves.

It does not HAVE to be the way it looks. Players could appropriately respond when they are shown 3 hours of game film of them sucking up the joint. But, at this point in time, this is what it looks like for Lindy's Sabres. So be it.

Hopefully getting moved to wing in favor of a 20 yr old rookie center (Lord help us!) will reignite the fire under Cozens.

Oh yeah, these guys have always been all talk.  Writing letters the fans while it's been obvious that they have no clue about the effort it takes to win night in and night out.  Ruff should have been a much need blast of reality to this group.  It's good to see he's finally getting there.  Let's see if this mentally weak team is up to the challenge.
