So, after viewing the game at home, and not hearing any booing or chants on the broadcast, reports from friends who were there have come in.

Three different sources tell me there was indeed booing and fire Adams chants that were quite loud in the 3rd. I'm curious what the everyone thinks of it. It seems pretty cowardly to me.

We'll all find out on Wednesday when TNT broadcasts the Rangers game. It should be a more accurate portrayal of the mood of the fans.

This organization...I swear.

It’s just a never ending vicious circle down at the arena.  I have no issue with the fans booing.  They would boo in every other NHL arena if their teams missed the playoffs a couple years in a row and couldn’t win home games, let alone 13 years or whatever.

But the booing and empty seats leads to resentment amongst the players because they feel they are trying hard and not trying to play poorly. So they hear it,  play messy at home, not having fun, etc.. they get tight or nervous when the momentum starts to flip, and lose their fundamentals for whatever reason. The fans expect things to go bad, the players expect things to go bad. and everyone goes home a loser.

Of course they do another in a long string of juvenile bush league moves by an organization that I won't call Bush league because I don't want to disparage the phase bush league by comparing this cesspool to it.... all the cesspools out there please accept my apologies in advance

OTOH after the collapse against Colo. and their GM saying he'd go to war for them, they came out with precious little jump. Look like you want it at least.

FWIW I heard the Fire Adams chant for a few seconds only. Maybe that was the start and the rest got snuffed.

I disagree with the booing reasoning though. The fans are not booing about 14 years of no playoffs. I’m sure some are but not most. If that were the case people would boo as soon as the puck drops. Fans are booing when the team blows a 4-0 lead, and loses. They boo after a 2 goal against 2nd period by Utah. They boo a 14% PP unit when they fail to score on a 5th PP of the game. They boo for game reasons alone. The players shouldn’t be so puckered up bcuz a lot of them don’t own 14 years. They do own blowing a 4-0 lead but if they get nervous because of the boos from that then how do they expect to perform under real circumstances like playoffs.

I was in the arena last night. Monday night crowds are lighter and quieter than most.

That said, I swear to God that I thought I heard more of a collective groan and scattered laughter reaction when Detroit tied it up in the third.

Home game disgrace.

No leadership by the owner, the front office, behind the bench, and on the ice.

Keep booing at any game when we quit or until Pegula sells or something changes.

It seems like good production to me

The last thing we need on this team is a bunch of soft losers. If the players have a problem with it they are 100% in control of fixing it by putting in a 60min effort every night.  Until then:

I believe TNT is planning to do an in depth look at the Sabres and Rangers problems either pregame or intermission. They might be diplomatic but it could be interesting.

If any local Sabres fans were going to make their voices heard, Wednesday night on a national broadcast would be the time to do it. Cheap, midweek game. Use palm trees like thundersticks and chant away.

The Toronto game next week won't be half-empty. Although it would be pretty funny to hear "Fire Sheevyn!" and the Toronto fans chime in "Don't!" each time.

I get the feeling they are going to embarrass some players on a “national” broadcast.  Probably some coaches too.  I’m here for it.
