We talk quite a bit about Terry Pegula and he deserves all the discussion he gets on this forum.

This post is so apropos.

To the fact Terry Pegula warrants discussion and some of us want to take part in that discussion. It certainly is.

I will be the third person in. The other poster that you describe at least started with rational points and to me looked like they were open to discussion. You and Trip 65 seem more like you want to resort to sarcasm and shouting first with others how disagree with you and pass right over the rational discussion.

I can personally deal with things escalating between posters. It does bother me when the jump to shouting and insults and sarcasm happens before the rational discussion runs it course.

That's not only incorrect, it's not good enough.  It's always you angry posters that start insulting people and you gang up.  It's pretty sad honestly.

I'm sure Terry talks to the GM of the Bandits daily.

I've said several times maybe just maybe Terry is not out of his element as a football owner. He called himself a football guy and was a power player at PSU. That, a mechanism in place to keep him from meddling, and getting JA might be the secret sauce.

His success with other teams proves nothing. I know he doesn’t have to sell them. I think they are going to suck until he does, though.

Why do you care so much about what I think of our crappy owner?

Why do you care to Post why you want Terry Pegula gone and anyone would care you wrote that????

Isn't that the reason this Blog exists to debate the fact FANS think they actually run the TEAMS   😂

There’s no positives regarding the Sabres. It’s hockey hell for the fans and players….and if I got drafted by the Sabres i’d fear my career will never live up to the potential.

But since the thread says positively i will say that Pegula has done a good job with the Bills and Bandits. Er, i should say at least he hired the right people and got out of the way.

Didn't need spell check for that. Pretty sure either would Powers but he can afford personnel spell checker anyway.

Hang on I need to find an interpreter to get me through that word salad.lol

So, if it's not Pegula, it's not Ruff, It's not the players, It's not Kevyn, What is wrong with the Sabres? Or are they actually good and I just don't know how to watch hockey.

Ok, you are using caps shouting and your argument sounds like its coming from a 3rd grader who is saying something and shouting 'gotcha' after you say it.

I always say its a message board so anyone can say what they want, but it does show the level of a particular poster when they don't engage in conversatation but rather resort to all caps or put a post with nothing but sarcasm because they can't articulate their point beyond that (see post immediately above this for an example).

THIS IS SHOUTING

I’m not 100% sure Sabres survive in Buffalo.  Ownership, management, players and arena are all a complete mess.  The only way out is a sale and not sure that goes to someone who keeps team in Buffalo with everything that would entail.

Is the best thing going for Sabres the Hot Dog of the game?

For the first time in my life I too am worried about losing the  team.  I still don’t think he sells the Sabres and allows them to move and keeps the Bills.  That would be a problem for him when the Bill eventually have a downturn.

Best hope is that a Buffalo led consortium buys 51% or more from him, and he fades out of Sabres folklore.

I am not an ungrateful SOB who realizes Terry Pegula saved Buffalo Sport. Rebuilding Downtown starting with Harbor Center bringing in NHL main Events. Building a Super Stadium where he can at Least apply to Sponsor a Super Bowl!

Hell, I bought the whole Pegula Bed Set

Buffalo sports wasn't going anywhere, and I'm not denying that Terry has done a wonderful job with downtown. If I was on a Downtown Buffalo message board I would be singing his praises. But this is a Sabres message board And I absolutely will criticize ownership of the worst team in league history.

Why is the football team good?

becuase he hired good people who demanded total control. Beane and McDermott run the team, Pegula stays out and just pays the bills

I would have a conversation with you about the question but that's not what you want.  It's an hate filled argument and it's exhausting.  I've explained my position before, not that anyone would or should care.

It's either get onboard with hating every single thing Sabres, shut up, get insulted or attacked here.

I'm going to challenge you angry folks whenever I feel like it.

So was your post on the previous page where you said "YOU IN THE BOARD MEETINGS??????"

Shouting, in addition to the apparent lack of a verb.

And yet when I read all the posts, it is you and Trips that use the sarcasm and shouting that comes across to not just myself, but apparently a few other people as exhausting and angry.

Yes. I jumped into this late but the reason I posed was in support of the above bolded.

Nothing says rational, non-angry poster like when he said "I'm going to challenge you angry folks whenever I feel like"

That is someone who is not confrontational AT ALL(obviously sarcasm there)

And this is an example of a rational post by SwampD, that is not escalating and an example of how to avoid sarcasm. Bravo.

Instead we have people resorting to all caps, sarcasm in almost every post, and a promise to challenge people they don't agree with whenever they want, (and obviously however they want).

I get that's how you see it and you have to in order to feel justified.  Want to experiment?

You quoted  the example I put of "in board meetings"  I'm not sure why? you are saying that is how I see it and its not true? I am seeing capital letters/shouting that others aren't? If that is not the case I'm not sure why that was included in your quote.

You are obviously the one that needs to feel justified in your posts. As others have said, you have WAY too many replies that are short, vague, with no substance and filled with sarcasm. That is how I see it, and obviously that is how others see it.  It appears the only person, up until this point, who sees things your way is the person with the sticky 'caps lock' key.

Definitely not in this thread.  I came to make a point and it's, oh so obvious.

Sorry but I think you've got the wrong person.  I've done that and not too long ago.

I recall in his presser Adams complained that he didn't have a Josh Allen.  If I recall, Allen wasn't a number 1 pick, but he went in the top 10.  Kevin probably wouldn't have picked him (it takes real scouting and investment of time and resources).  He currently has two numbers ones on the team (Dahlin and Power) and look what good this does -- it does not make Buffalo a palm tree destination.
