Was Rob Ray serious about having to turn back in that royal blue zip up? Imagine if Terry did give the order that they’re not allowed to keep them after yesterday’s question about does Terry give enough resources haha

Duff & Marty were wearing reversible jackets on one broadcast not long ago and I remember Marty making a similar comment about not being allowed to keep them. I don't know if they were auctioning them off/doing a giveaway or if Pegs ordered them to send the jackets back to the Sabres Store with their manly musk for resale. 🙃

Why is Thompson in Dahlin’s spot on the PP?    Need a defenseman there.

Terrible tactics in my opinion.  We have Power to fill that spot.

Add Cozens on the bumper, whose head/hands aren't quick enough, and it just doesn't make sense.

Good for Kozak….he’s playing an honest game and is noticeable out there.  What happens when others get healthy….can Kozak be sent back down without being subjected to waivers?  I’m not saying I want him back in Rochester, but at some point others will be back.

Kevin and Lindy have to put only the guys on the ice who play the right way. Whether it’s a complete rook, a vet on his last legs, or the Zamboni driver / janitor who is caught secretly skating and shooting in the middle of the night. You have to play the right way. Kozak already shows that. Gilbert does. Keep doing that and we’ll win more often than not.

Hahaha “game worn” and Terry hikes up the price? How else are we going to add to our scout and pro personnel teams? The fracking money needs to go to securing a Lombardi.

How long do we wait to get PP coaching that is at least adequate for the NHL? This has gone on for too long. They are pro’s at passing it around the perimeter and more times than not absolutely no one is creating havoc in the crease. When will they switch it up and try something different ?

Yup, he's waivers exempt. Along with Kulich and Johnson. Also Benson, but he can only be sent to juniors.

One question. Where is Can ee da?

The girls held their own, but I think that's a lot to ask of kids that age. It was hard on the ears and doesn't exactly look like a major professional sport.

They already are. TNT is playing on the point instead of the left circle, waiting for a one-timer. His last PPG (last game? 2 games ago? was from the right side).

Innovation!

As for the game, good challenge by Lindy. I had some McDermott snark lined up. I'm not sure these calls should be so perplexing. When the goalie is in his crease, no contact, even incidental, is allowed.

My quick $0.02 is that 2 years ago Granato got the most out of the skill sets if this roster. But they still were short of an NHL level squad, and well short of a quality playoff team.

Last year it was time for them to grow up and play like adults and they failed.

Under Lindy there is no running from failure. It’s Cozens job to be better. The roster doesn’t have much depth. So if Cozens (or anybody else) fails it’s on the player for not being up to snuff.

Also, the more I think about the staff sticking around because Lindy “didn’t know the squad” was a worse decision than it seemed at surface level. It gives these kids a whole staff to run and hide from the HC’s messaging.

Stop making sense already. It's Bettman's world and we're all just living in it.

Well said. Kevin mentioned the 5v5 numbers being solid. The power play is really sinking this team still. Should have a full new staff running that.

When Quinn slots back in, I hope he plays with a sense of urgency and tries to be a man.

Dominic Moore - using a hockey stick as a pointer - on the Utah broadcast talking over the replays. He's basically explaining to a rookie Utah audience, like a classroom session. That's pretty solid for a new market that's trying to get kids interested.

I don’t think it ever gets better until they can acquire somebody who can carry the puck into the zone with speed and control….they can’t control the entry and then are rushed into a perimeter passing game that inevitably fails

Worse, he wears it all game, then puts it back on the rack.

This is probably pay a good practice for every market.

For example, I grew up playing hockey so I get it. But I wish I could watch basketball and know what’s going on, but I don’t. I try, it’s a cool league but I don’t know what anybodies responsibilities are.
