I am torn ... I would like to support this endeavor, but would it be OK to support Ottawa? It feels wrong. Second choice - and the only real safe choice - is Minnesota:

Help me, Oh Wise ones!

There's rumours of expansion coming.

Maybe stay on as a free agent for now.

Ottawa’s logo is too similar to the Flames. Montreal has the best logo. I’d go with Minnesota if you can’t wait. They’re adding two teams next year. Possible expansion cities are Chicago, Detroit, Philly, Pittsburgh, or Las Vegas.

But it’s hard to get excited about non-checking hockey.

I actually don't care for the Montreal logo - somehow it seems stale to me? And also, Toruntoh, Montreal, Boston, and honestly NYC can all eff right off ... so I am left with two. I think the away whites are pretty sharp, too - but they don't sell them, yet.

To the bold ... say what? Have you not watched any women's hockey? Or are you implying they don't check hard enough? Because checking is absolutely legal and I have seen plenty in the international tournies.

I really hope it takes off, but I'm concerned about it's future. My daughter is 15 and has played since she was 4, but other than going to games in person, she doesn't watch women's hockey... Not even international games. Nor do any of her teammates, or their moms.

Anecdotally, the only people I know that seem to care are the dads of girl hockey players.

I am trying to embrace "support women" by throwing a few dollars their way and I intend to try and watch some games, if they are available. If they are fun to watch ... maybe I will avoid losing my "love for the game" lol

Coincidentally, I wrote most of my initial post while waiting for my daughter's tournament game to start. End of the period now.

I watched a bit of the Sirens last year. I also watch a bit of the Liberty in the WNBA. I’m in the capitol region these days so I’m close by and I really like both their teal jerseys

I’ve watched some games, including the PWHL this year. The checking is few and far between, largely because they grew up not checking, which includes in the NCAA, which I always thought was a dumb rule, like women’s lacrosse. Like the WNBA, why would I watch the slower less skilled version when we already have the NHL and NBA. It’s a niche league for girls and women to watch.

I gave you the beer thingy for the first part - but since I absolutely detest the NBA, I will respectfully disagree with the latter half of your post 🙂

Got the Minnesota Frost jersey (and a t-shirt to get free shipping!) cuz I got notified of my promotion, raise, and bonus today. Treat yo'self! I'll post a pic when they arrive!

Hopefully they don’t send you the ladies cut. I don’t watch the NBA either, just using for comparison. I do watch some college basketball.

I was careful (hopefully careful enough?) to read that they are "unisex" I think they are trying to appeal to women without alienating men?
